Learn the difference between burning slow and spreading fast .....

Facts...
1. Amaterasu seemingly doesn't cause great deal of quick damage ..... Raikage's hand didnt burn down in matter of seconds Nor was the Samurai burned quick enough.
2. Amaterasu spreading is kind of limited by the user .... note how quick spread of Amaterasu was always marked by the user focusing on the target (Sasuke ignored the Samurai and the Raikage put his hand in the amasusano and ***** slapped Sasuke after which Sasuke was not seen focusing on) ... Only contradiction to this is durring Itachi's death which can be explained by fact that with demise of the user the tech went rampant and there was seemingly enough time for the flames to spread in the forest.

ok...lol
I really don't know what more you want me to say at this point.
That's a great post...

Let's just post to see ourselves post something...

Clearly Amaterasu has many variables which as of yet have not been revealed in detail by Kishi, who probably could care less about it. He's just writing a story, and we are taking it for wayyyyyyy more than he intended.

As many have stated already, there is a difference between burning fast and spreading fast.

It seems that whether the flames spread fast depends on focus of the user: if he focuses on the target, Amaterasu spreads fast (see Hachibi case), when he doesn't, it spreads VERY slowly (see Raikage case).

But spreading is different than burning. When it comes to burning, there was only one case when it was fast - that is, Itachi escaping toad's stomach.

I have no idea why he could do it so fast back then, but no one could anytime later in the series, but saying it burns fast when there is 1 example that proves it and 10 or more examples to the contrary, is rather foolish.

Wow people don't know the different time speed kishi puts for each circumstances for each amatersu victim.

Example: when A got burned by amatersu in his hand, that whole entire fight was suppose to be in a matter of seconds

because of the speed they were going.

A had too use maximum speed to dodge amatersu:

It's like in dbz when they use high speed motion, and then they use zoom in to show all the punch and kicks thrown at each other.

This fight lasted no longer then 2-3 minutes with the raikage, but in itachi and jiraiya's situation it wasn't high speed motion and amatersu went as fast as it's suppose to...
