It was a while later when we saw it agained, it was used bu Itachi during his fight with Sasuke, you can argue that Itachi missed on purpose but if you can miss on purpose you can miss acidentally. We then saw it used again by Sasuke and it was used to *try* and burn Tobi, it was quickly dispelled. Sasuke then used it against Kirabi and the Eight-Tailed Ox, it served its purpose but left Sasuke exhausted leaving him very vulnerable. Now we see it used again in Sasuke in his fight with the Raikage. The Raikage dodged it with pure speed, no special jutsu or anything. He also hit amaterasu with his bare hand and his hand is still in contact. It was also blocked by Gaara's sand ability. So...

1)Does not follow the elemental rules, Otherwise Kirabi's water element would win, So no idea how it would react against Naruto's wind

2)Is only as acurate as the users eyes, similar to Kakashi's Kuma

3)Can be dodged with high speed, As shown by Raikage

4)Can be weakened to a state where physical contact is possible, The Raikage puched it and his arm is intact

5)Consumes alot of chakra, Sasuke pales in comparison against Naruto

5)Can be blocked by Gaara's Sand, Shown when Gaara protected the Raikage

6) It also detoriates your eyesight, which seems to be happening rather quickly on Sasuke

I think Raikage used a special technique which he was preparing in order for him to dodge it, and I think Raikage cut off his own arm to prevent the fire from spreading to his entire body. But yeah Gaara defending it with sand is pretty silly imo.

Dont know about raikage being phased it looked to me like he wasnt slowing down even after he cut off his arm at the elbow. And he still has enough strength in his one arm to destroy most ninja. but sasuke isnt most ninja. but then again he didnt get to be a kage for being a wus

Just because a elite few can use some sort of counter/defense against Amaterasu doesn't make it any less formidable. No jutsu is invincible and Amaterasu still burns harder then any jutsu right now.

3-If you are faster than a blink of an eye (when Sasuke activate the power) you can dodge it. Raikage use chakra control to achieve that kind of speed.

4-Raikage lost his arm by touching Amaterasu, so it can't be weakened.

5-No so true anymore, seems Sasuke can play with Susanoo after multiple Amaterasu use.

6-If you block the target of the Amaterasu (eye contact) you wont be touched by the flame that appear where the eye looks. Gaara's sand was in front of the target.

Even if naru gets all burned up I think the nine tails would kick in and envelop naru with the cloak which is constantly healing him. I wonder which would give out first I think Ameretsu would because sasuke would run out of chakra before naru.

amaterasu is only as fast as the persons eye that uses it.
"killer wasp"(hahaha) simply moved faster than sasuke could react to or track.
amaterasu is an offensive move not defensive. gaara can defend against it because its just a long burning fire, it wont immediately go through the sand like acid or water eventually gaara's sand will be burnt up

also tbf sasuke shouldnt even be able to stand let alone stand on ceilings and use chidori swords.
