wrong its instant but itachi was going blind and it affects what the user focused on...ppl can predict when its coming and move ahead of time like ppl who get out of the way of bullets

If it was Instant,both sasuke and Raikage would have died,seeing as how they hve No Instataneous teleportation jutsu like FTG

Yes this. Amaterasu is a dangerous technique, but it's overrated.

we have seen heat level altered, range and size is about chakra output as a technique to me seems is underrated since no one waited hashirama to be that strong, but of course he's strong first hokage who battled madara, first person to awake perfect mangekyo.

kyubi's cooperating and power it bring suprised much people, now ems legendary dojutsu which sasuke didn't stole but awaked on his own, favourite attack enton variations.. because? touch kills said to penetrate everything and even kill bijuus, etc and not to forget he can use it much as he wants so let's say sasuke 1vs 1 using only amaterasu brain and body how could survive??

list of people who can take attack like amaterasu but would eventually lose/die :
tobirama, itachi, raikage, ?bee? gaara nagato, not sure are there more,

maybe able to survive amaterasu and win altogether: obito _maybe_ hashirama (must have way right) naruto, minato edo madara...

No don't get me wrong. I didn't say Amaterasu is weak. It can beat a lot of people, but a number of people can counter it. However it is overrated seeing as in every Itachi vs thread, some fanboys tend to say ''Amaterasu gg'' a lot.

Nope...It Isn't,the only instant Ninjutsu In NV is FTG....

to lazy look it up, its is instant and thats a well known fact ....you use terrible examples sasuke dodge amateretsu my ass did u for get itachi was good, i already explained the raikage situation....no one just woke up one day and said its instant lol

I never said he dodges it,He outran it for some time,before the fire later touched him!
But it has Never been stated Amaterasu is Instant,because the only Instantaneous Ninjutsu is FTG!
Sasuke has to focus On the opponent to cast amaterasu..

when raikage's left arm if i'm right was burning in ametarasu he simply kept fighting and severed his arm

so if people have that kind of pain resistance and also have sealing tech like minato or jiraiya then they can seal the ametarasu flames like how j-man did

Ok it's not instant but its not a beam of fire the fire simply appears where the user is looking. To do this chakra is compresses on a location giving those with dojutsu (see chakra), sensing abilities (sense chakra), or speed (move out of the way upon seeing it). Those are my thoughts on the matter, but its not overrated it is very fast and the way it forms gives it almost instant stats, and it burns for days. As for the garra sand I don't agree...yes sand can be used to put out fire but fire can melt sand as well soooo? W/e on that.

Guys lets face it. Amaterasu is another Jutsu that Kishi has trolled in this series
if you notice Amaterasu is only used against people that can avoid it or counter it Except for Sasuke vs Itachi which there should be no way you can out run someones eye sight BUT its been confirmed itachi never intended to kill sasuke.

Look at Sasuke fights since he has obtained MS. He has used susanoo 10000x more than he has used Amaterasu EVEN in situations where amaterasu would have ended them IE... Danzo, KAkashi, Naruto, the other 3 hokage that didnt have super fast speed or countering sand.

Amaterasu is only used against people that can counter it which is BS in my opinion. Dont argue among each other about it blame Kishi for trolling it

Yes I did, I was talking about in real life not the manga, and I was saying I don't thing garra should have been able to block the fire not that he didn't block it. Amaterasu being black one would think its hotter then normal fire techs, also them being Uchihas (fire experts) one would say the black flames would be got enough to melt the sand or make it glass....also sand melts @ 3,000 degrees nice try tho

That was me that brought it up but I never said a person could shoot black flames I said a hot enough fire could melt sand and the black flames being the highest lvl of fire I have seen on the show, I would say it could do the same in the manga world.

Lastly, you find fault in bring logic (real world stuff) into this but you don't find fault in arguing about make believe things....lol yea you're the guy to listen to.
