[Discussion] Amaterasu isn't Instant!

I thought this was obvious,but I found out it wasn't!
The only Instantaneous Ninjutsu in NV is FTG.....
But I have been told Amaterasu is Instantaneous,here comes my real question..
How did sasuke Outrun Amaterasu before it caught up with him?
How did Raikage dodge it if its Instantaneous?
I think they used a FTG....
But last I heared,only Minato could use it perfectly....or am I wrong on that one,cause they are still alive(somewhat),and the only way they could avoid it is through FTG

true it isn't instant? in a way kamui isn't instant, but deadly attack nonetheless only few charctr have speed to dodge amaterasu, sasuke got a way coz itachi didn't try shoot black fire there where he was heading while sasuke run itachi used amaterasu whole time till it reached sasuke

Lee's speed is faster than Amaterasu. Lee was able to move faster than Gaara's sand and hit him, yet Sasuke's Amaterasu got blocked by Gaara's sand every time.

gaara maybe or in principal he can counter it with chakra sand or something, but now sasuke have mastered enton and have new eyes, gaara would burn inside a minute

Yes this. Amaterasu is a dangerous technique, but it's overrated.

wrong its instant but itachi was going blind and it affects what the user focused on...ppl can predict when its coming and move ahead of time like ppl who get out of the way of bullets
