A way to pull it off? Excuse me but if you watched that episode you would see the amount of time it took for Jiraiya to take out the scroll and seal the fire. Amaterasu instantly appears within the Uchiha's line of vision. I'm not saying Amaterasu is unstoppable, i'm just saying if Itachi had aimed at Jiraiya with Amaterasu, Jiraiya would be dead, unless of course he had gotten the hell out of the way.

You seem to forget that the Raikage has a extremely high pain tolerance, paired with extreme levels of recklessness.
Besides no one will have time to do all these deals hen Amaterasu is flying straight for them, with the caster probably already moving towards them. It's far from overhyped.

If you're hoping to do that, you'd have to take out the scroll, write the seal, and then make the hand seals. Look at how Jiraiya got rid of them.

Neither Gaara nor Raikage were hit with it. The only received damage from Enton used as a form of defense not offense. In both cases the thing that offers distinction is the 'eye focus' to inflict offensive damage. This should be clear to everyone by this point. I am flabbergasted.
