Amaterasu against a chakra leech.

Okay so we know one of Nagato's abilities is to absorb chakra. Now my understanding of amaterasu is that it uses chakra just like any other jutsu and when the chakra supply goes away it has no choice, but to go away. Now correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldn't Nagato be able to absorb the chakra and make amaterasu useless if Itachi used it against him.?

dont think so, if the chakra go away it becomes a normal wild black fire that cant be stopped or controlled because its not a jutsu anymore

I think it takes chakra to create the flames but after that it doesn't, like if you use a fireball jutsu in a forest and the other trees catch fire and the fire spreads, you don't need chakra to sustain it because the forest is sustaining it itself, but with amaterasu it burns anything so it sustains itself

it doesnt absorb chakra, it can absorb any ninjutsu, so yeah it can absorb amaterasu
