It's all about personal opinions and taste, for me I think One Piece is great in a way that it doesn't lack any gaps towards humor, action & story development. One piece is all about not giving up so quickly just because it's over 600 ep's, If you dedicate yourself to it, trust me it will eventually get better.

1 100 chapters is enough to judge it , reading 400 chapters of some thing just to try to like it is ridiculous
2 a movie and a manga arent even remotely comparable

1. 100 chapters of something that will have over 800 chapters is clearly not enough to judge it. The first 100 chapters barely even have the majority of the crew revealed, there's still Robin, Chopper, Franky and Brook. The first 100 chapters of Naruto introduced so many characters already and was clearly pushing the plot quicker hence more action sooner. What exactly is ridiculous about not jumping to conclusions before getting an accurate portrayal of where a story will go? If you're one of those people who doesn't give something a fair chance to make an impression I feel sorry for you because you must be missing a lot of good stuff.

2. Anything is comparable, don't try that weak excuse. But fine here's another, If you take a book with 49 chapters and only read the first 7 you can't get an accurate depiction of the direction or severity the story will produce. Or taking a book like Harry Potter (sorcerer's stone) and reading 2 1/2 chapters and deciding you don't like it without knowing how it even ends. (not a potter fan but I know a lot of people are which is why I used it) and yes 2 1/2 chapters is 1/7th of the book

Hey everyone. Let's compare a mangaka who has never drew a manga until he started drawing One Piece back in the late 90's and compare it to last chapter of Naruto in 2013. That logic makes perfect sense right? Well it must since that is what everyone in this thread is doing. You realize Oda's style and drawing skills gets better over time right? He goes from

There are so many people I have seen over the years who say stuff like OP sucks and Naruto is better and all this other stuff without even seeing the whole series. Then they actually do read it, and about 95% of them say One Piece is better than Naruto. Then the ones who say Naruto is still better say something like this. "I like Naruto more but both are great." None who has watched all of One Piece calls it crap.


To the people who aren't sure about trying One Piece, I suggest this. Watch something called Episode of Nami: Tears of a Navigator and Bonds of Nakama. If you aren't hooked from that, I suggest giving up on it. Better to watch a 2 hour special then 100 episodes to find out if you will like it or not.

I've gotten into both Bleach and Naruto but One Piece never really attracted me. The plot itself is actually quite good but the pacing is dragged out and the weird art and character designs are really off putting.

You most likely dropped it at the build up stages. BIG mistake. One Piece is better later on. There's so much of it you haven't read : therefore you can't say you don't like it if you never made it through a large portion of the manga/anime.

One piece is just really slow... Even from seeing 100 episodes you still cant say that you know what it's about and stuff. Once you've seen more of their adventures in the Grand Line, it gets more and more interesting
