I read the first 100 chapters. I thinks thats enough for me to say that I dont like it.

I think Oda's characters are laughable at best. Very poor characterization most of the time. The villains all fall into the supreme overlord categaory where they oppress an island for luffy and crew to save the day. Pacing is whack and the general plot has no end in sight. Also a disturbing lack of complexity in major themes. Very cookie cutter a lot of the time. The word I'm thinking for these characters is "safe"

I'm close to dropping it in all honesty. Haven't read the past six chapters. Just grew out of it really.

Everyone seems to like One Piece and find it amazing and whatnot. Am I the only one who doesn't really like it ? I tried reading it but I can't seem to get into it...

Look dude , it's like this , i'm in the episode 128 (yes of the anime) i think i missed the episode 100 (that someone told me that was a filler episode , but whatever miss that or more) however , i'm only still waiting for something BIG to happen , but , the anime so far (until the episode 128) it has his epic moments and whatnot , is all about the view of your perspective , i know that luffy is strong as f*ck now and that's why i keep watching one piece , so when i reach that part and all those epic moments so i can enjoy it EVEN MORE than i enjoyed the others episodes. Zoro is freaking badass , Nami is like a useful character who can tell the weather , like , what is going to happen before it happens , also , she is the one who navigate the ship and give instructions , i don't actually know the meaning of badass , but i THINK that luffy from the start is a badass , or when he starts to care about his nakamias , Arlong is a freaking BEAST (and is a villain) i think that the villains so far are freaking beasts lol , you have a character named Mihawk who for me right now is my fav character lol ... well , i think that's it , also , smoker for me is a freaking beast also , and is my 2nd fav "villain" (when in reality is not really a villain).

Well and there you have it .

Always remember, don't compare one piece with bleach and Naruto, they are totally different, one piece has better humor than this two...U_U

Two different things. xD Bleach internet speed is awesome while One Pieces internet speed is lousy and takes time buffering. I ease into Bleach and find it similar to Naruto. Maybe One Piece is different, but I like Pirate's of the Caribbean. I do not know.

I don't get why people try so damn hard to like it, I've heard that some people watch the first 100 episodes without liking it then they start to like it a bit.

for me the biggest turnoff is the plot
so much of the show is just random nothingness
i feel like the op crew forgot about thier original goals and now its just messy
plus the humor added to the action is another buzzkill
suffice it to say , no i dont like one piece

It's not serious looking enough for me to enjoy. Tried watching it on toonami didn't care for it one bit.

Really the only reason it's so famous in Japan is because it's foreginish and different than the usual, as you can see here in the US it doesn't do very well compared to Naruto.

One piece is one of the, if not the best Manga I have ever read, Was in the same boat as you and many other people.. Originally turned off by the artstyle... but I stuck with it to see what was at the end.. and without a doubt it's worth it.. the story , the world , the character development is wide and dynamic and after 6xx + chapters, the story has barely touched the surface of what's to come

Absolutely amazing manga, people don't give it half the chance they should

Really that's only 1/7th of the completed manga and there's more to come. That'd be like saying I only read up to chapter 80 of Naruto so I can say I don't like ti(which I didn't it's an example) or saying I watched I watched 15 minutes of a hour and a half movie so I know it wasn't a good movie.

1 100 chapters is enough to judge it , reading 400 chapters of some thing just to try to like it is ridiculous
2 a movie and a manga arent even remotely comparable
