People want constant action, they forget there needs to be a story too. That's why I like this chapter, and one's to come most likely, we are learning about the era I/(we?) always wondered about. Plus Madara and Hashirama's relationship, which almost seems stronger than that of Naruto and Sasuke's.

I loved this chapter, it not only revealed a lot more about the dynamics between Hashirama & Madara, but also the Senju & Uchiha, not to mention the fact that both Hashirama & Madara had more than one brother was a huge revelation.shodaimeicon:

It was a pretty good chapter, added a lot more to the characters we know and at least for me the surprise was not so much Hashirama or even as much as we saw about Tobirama... not even the existence of a younger brother, Itama, but that Madara actually went through a phase he was a nice person!

It was a much needed chapter to add to the mood about the warring states period and how hard life was. Completely different from the world Naruto or even Obito grew up in. The shinobi word owes a lot to Hashirama (and Madara -?-). I really like this period and hopefully Kishimoto will show us some more.

[still, wow! could you believe that the Madara we know is that kid? he actually spoke like Naruto, wanting peace and to understand others... he even said to Hashirama to talk.... the same person who up until now every time he opened his mouth insulted every living thing in a 30 mile radius!]

I really liked it, but ngl I found it a tad boring 'cause it's just something I'll first pick to get excited on, you know? But great nonetheless, the insight about their past and stuff is really informative and necessary

Loved it. The dynamics between these two were interesting and funny - and as charged as the Naruto-Sasuke interchanges.
Having grown up in a country that is constantly at war, I can totally related to the hopelessness that Hashirama expressed about raising children only to see them become soldiers and possibly die (though not at that extreme rate). It is sad to see this in the midst of a war and realize that for all their effort, they ended up right where (or even worse of) where they started.

Yea, I didn't mind it at all. I enjoyed small sprout Hashirama standing up to his old man, and never once backing down (the qualities of a real leader). A little too much dialogue, true, but not without some tragic reminders of what war is really like..well, minus guys with sharingan eyes.

I loved the back story some people jus want action but i want to know why action was taken before anything..besides it be pointless to jus have fighting with out even know the reasons why the characters feel how they do.

I dunno... I had mixed feeling about this chapter. I mean, it was interesting to see them meeting for the first time (hard to believe that Madara's personality as a kid was so much.... Like Naruto's...) It was also interesting to see the 1st's dad and other brother. I guess the point of this chapter was to show them meeting for the first time during a time of war, with both having the desire to change their world so that war no longer exists, all thanks to the deaths of their siblings... Either way, I like how this chapter made Madara seem like not so much of a bad guy. In a way, he's just like Pain, Jiraiya, and Naruto. All of them desired to change the world originally so that it would be free of war and pointless death, and just live in a time of permanent peace. They all had the same views and overall goals. They just went about achieving them in different ways. Honestly, I think by the end of this flashback, there's going to be some moment in Madara's life that's going to make us all walk away from this flashback thinking to ourselves, "Would Madara have been a good guy if THIS hadn't happened"...
