I trust Kishi. Do you honnestly think he's going to fight Nagato, Sasuke, or even Madara with only Shadow Clone and Rasangen Variations? They can only go so far particarly against Sasuke's MS and lightning and fire jutsus. I think Naruto is waiting to bust some new ones out either against Deva realm or Nagato.

It would be really cool to see Naruto use something new to strike the final blow, or to avoid being killed/captured by Pain, but so far I am happy with how he has used shadow clones and Sage Mode.
