The underlying point here is that as long as 1 person can figure it out on their own without any form of help or tutoring then at its root is can be self taught or considered innate. neji and himawari are examples enough. You can throw neji's dad in there as well. since he was said to rival hiashi despite being branch.

How is that Hiashi admitting he lowballed Neji? Hima don't even know 64 palm she used a basic gentle fist technique. Same one Hiashi used to kill a cloud ninja.

I remember this guy called Gai. He was cool. I remember this other guy, not Gai, his name was Madara. Gai the former guy almost killed the other guy with what, you ask? Taijutsu.

I'm saying there are deadly and versatile taijutsu styles that rival ninjutsus. In that context, Byakugan was associated with Jyuuken, the strength of the Hyuuga. WHy else would their non-ninjutsu clan be deemed as one of the strongest in Konoha if their taijutsu style is considered inferior to ninjutsu?

Remember this guy Madara actually playing with Gai and not even trying to fight back. Or that this Gai character had help from ninjutsu users to actually land his attacks. Compared to Nara Akimichi Aburame clan etc ofc they would be considered stronger.

Not really considering 1 he's the only branch member who knows it. 2. Hiashi said it's due to him being a genius. 3 Hinata never knew it she had to train to use it and never even mastered it till war arc.
