Go read the Manga. Do you find in it anything that has happened in the anime or any validation for it? Forget the academy arc (confirmed canon) or the reference of the trip to the hidden mist , show me more than this that makes what happened so far in the anime canon.

There isn't. Therefore the anime needs MANGA validation and that is what you are making, you are showing us that in fact you agree with this. Until the Manga validates what happened, it is filler. There is no validation for everything, just a "little bit" and this little bit is in fact almost nothing and you throw a BIG PARTY around it.

Canon/Filler...just some words. Manga-sourced animes, go based off of manga to be considered canon or actual events,...doesn't matter who wrote it or directed it...if it ain't manga-based...that's it. Doesn't matter what people say from "word of mouth".Don't care.

anime-sourced anime, however...is ALL CANON. Doesn't matter WHO is wrote the episode or directed it, it would all be considered canon.
