Flying in on a breeze, Mystogan landed on the ground before his new student, the residual wind making a dramatic effect with his loose clothing.
Hello. I am to be your teacher, yes? Then explain to me all you know about wind before we gets started...

*looks at him in a surprised manner*

Wow! you're awesome >_> and yes sensei, I'm ur student, and a noob one, so bear with me. <_<

Alright, here goes sensei!

wind release: Futon, is one of the five basic elemental chakra transformation, its a rare element among the five chakra natures, it is formed by making chakra thin and sharp as possible, wind release is mostly effective offence against mid to close range, offensive techniques combining brute force and keen precision to deal slashing and cutting damage, wind related techniques usually are performed by generating air circulation and increasing overall enhancement, and can also be channeled through blades to increase their overall effective range and their cutting power.

That was good... Now, Wind interacts with the other elements in specific ways; it fuels fire to make it stronger, and as such is weak when opposing flame, it whips water into a torrent to increase the force behind impact, it carries fine particles of dust, sand, and earth in order to wear away at things quickly, like sandpaper, and it insulates lightning so as to weaken it, being stronger than Raiton.
But now that you understand, it's time to focus on your fuuton chakra. So, you will mold your chakra as you normally would as this wind passes over you; eventually, your body will come to recognize the wind and adapt to it, creating a type of chakra which can eventually manipulate the wind under correct conditions. So, begin building your chakra, and relax...

Inhaling through his nose, Mystogan then began to exhale a steady stream of harmless wind over his student, waiting for his student to grasp the concept behind fuuton chakra.

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique allows the user to change direction in mid-air at high speeds by simply blowing wind out their mouth. The user can also use this technique by blowing it at the ground and causing a dust cloud to rise, concealing the users location and movement.

Ohh how I've been waiting for u my beloved sensei:|

As sensei finishes his instruction, nonetheless rigardo focuses but firstly he clears his mind from useless thoughts, rigardo concentrates and while doing so a small yet steady gesture of wind blows over his face, inheriting the wind, and focusing on his chakra and combining the winds properties with his chakra forming wind chakra within his body.

After a short while, Mystogan stopped his wind stream.
Has your chakra become accustomed to the Wind Nature? Why don't we test. By focusing on your chakra as it should have adjusted itself during that time of meditation, I want you to build that chakra in your lungs, and inhale. Then, as you mix your chakra with the air, I want you to exhale, the chakra in your breath exaggerating the breeze created as you exhale, creating a large gust. As you attempt this technique until you can perform it well, I want you to eventually work to a point where your wind-infused breath can break free loose earth on the ground, turning your breath into a sand-baster which sends sand everywhere; into your opponent's eyes, onto surfaces which most ninja can stand on so that they lose their footing if it's, say, a vertical surface, among other uses. Now, give it a try yourself.

While listening to what his sensei explains, rigardo starts and begins to perform what his sensei instructed, I gather a great amount of chakra within by lungs and inhale deeply, and proceed to mix my chakra with air, and then with a steady stance and tilting forward slightly, I exhale create a gesture of wind. I continue to perform the technique mulitple times until I get the hang of it, and can peform it efficantly, then as instructed by my sensei rigardo creates a large gesture of wind chakra aiming it towards the ground and this turning my breath into a sand buster, breaking the lose the free earth around the ground and creating a flow of sand around the area.

That was good... But in order to be sure that you understand the technique, I am going to need you to explain to me as many creative uses as you can come up with. Additionally, you will also have to tell me the drawbacks to this jutsu, and when it would be foolish to use. You may begin when you are ready.

Well first of all I can use this technique battle oriented, to cause and distract my opponent, which will further allow me to prepare my next jutsu off hand whilst my opponent is busy facing distraction, adding to that which will also conceal my opponents ability due to distraction, as the jutsu has it's advantage depending on location, it isn't effective on places which don't have any sort of sand/earth, for instance using it one water or other solid places isn't a wise choice for this jutsu since practically, there won't be any earth to blow onto the opponent.

(Fūton: Fūsajin no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Dust Wind Technique
Type: Defence
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user creates a gust of wind that layers an area in loose sand and dust. Doing so also acts as a sandblaster on the surrounding area. This layer of sand that accumulates on the trees during this technique makes it difficult for others to get a good footing. The initial gust can also temporarily blind opponents by lodging sand in their eyes.
If you ever have any questions, that would also be the time to ask them.
Now, the next technique I want you to try performing is a very basic technique. Essentially, I want you to focus your fuuton chakra into your arm, and then punch forwards to release a burst of wind by focusing your chakra into the air around your arm, taking control of it, condensing the air into something almost solid which will fly forwards like the wind as a "burst". Then, I want you to exhale a stream, much like you just did. You can create both bursts and streams from your mouth or hands, depending on your situation. Just like before, I would like you to describe good uses and bad times to use it, or good counters if you can come up with them. Whenever you are ready, begin.

Nope no questions, thank you!

As my sensei instructs me of the basics of this tech, I immediatly calm down and clear my mind of all useless thoughts, I then begin to gather a great amount of chakra within my arm, I then form a stance and punch straight forward with quite force, creating a burst of Wind which I then begin to manipulate using my chakra, taking complete control of it, further on I condense the air into something which is relatively solid, and I can make the wind fly towards my enemy as a burst. Then as mentioned, I exhale a stream, and proceed to create a burst from my hands which sends a gesture of loose dust and earth towards my opponent.

It's good uses

 • its a very effective tech to bind my enemy's sight, thus this jutsu serves a great purpose for distraction, further on, which allows be to peform my next jutsu beforehand
 • very useful on dirt or dust based locations
common disadvantages, or bad times to use this tech

 • the technique is relitvely short ranged, so it's pretty much useless at mid or even long range
 • also depending on the location, this tech is pretty much useless where there isn't any earth or dust to blow the dirt of dust from
How will I counter this jutsu

Well considering this jutsu Is relatively short and a low class tech, I can avoid and keep my distance, or just use another wind based jutsu to backfire the stream of wind which is filled with dust

So just so that we're on the same page, I quote techniques you learn, and then describe the next technique without showing it to you. Couldn't tell if you thought the quoted jutsu was the one you were trying to perform. In any case...

Alright, that was looking good...
(Fūton Kihon Jutsu) Wind Release Basic Technique
Type: Supplementary/Offensive/Defensive
Rank: D-Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: The user will release basic simple blasts or streams of wind from his limbs or mouth to defend or attack an enemy.
This next technique is of a more defensive nature. First, you will focus your fuuton chakra into the air before you. Second, you will need to begin to rotate the wind in a "spinning wall" fashion. Now, this wall is different from an average vortex or tornado... Your chakra in the wall needs to be spinning at very precise speeds, with the ability to change at the slightest moment under your will. The reason? You can use this wall to deflect kunai and other projectiles back at the origin. When you are ready, I shall throw a kunai towards you to see if you can do it properly.
Again, once your are finished, please go through my procedure. Create uses, drawbacks, the works. I want this with every technique.

Ohh sorry, and thanks for clearing out the misconception, the jutsu u posted followed with the points, gave me the slight impression it was that jutsu I'm supposed to perform, I figured something was off. So I apologise for that, now I understand.

As my sensei teaches me the basics and informs me off the technique, I closely stand by and follow his instruction, without revealing any sorts of "surprised" expression, I remain calm throughout the explanation, after that, I gather a specific amount of chakra within my body and focus it within the air creating a spiral of wind before me, similar to a spinnin wall and keep focus while concentrating my chakra allowing it to spin at a required precise speed, which I can change according to my liking under my own will, I ready myself, as my sensei charges a Kunai towards me and I use this jutsu to backfire the Kunai which was priorly thrown towards me.

Good uses

 • its fast, doesn't require any hand seals so it safe, fast and agile to execute
 • due to its quick nature, it's very sufficient in terms of battle to back fire said projectiles thrown by enemy with little time to dodge making it a very handy tech against projectile based techs
creative uses

Well first of all, the best part is it's an efficient jutsu on the battle, especially when your enemy launches kunais towards u, considering this tech is fast to perform I can immediately backfire the projectiles towards the enemy, creates a vial distraction allowing me to perform another jutsu off hand.

draw backs

 • Accounting its mainly an defensive nature tech it's mostly not sufficient in terms of offensive based attacks, also it's low ranked, and can be predicted quite easily

Yes... Another downside to that jutsu is that explosive tags, fire style, and smoke bombs will all be activated by the winds, causing them all to be whipped up by the winds and, in terms of the fire and explosives, created a very hot wall of flame before you, singing your skin, as well as creating a thick smokescreen if a smoke bomb hits. But a good performance.
(Fūton: Sensougouheki) - Wind Release: Rumbling wind wall
Rank: D
Type: Attack/Defence
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: User creates a wall of spinning wind in front of him that is used to push back weapons thrown towards him. It can also be used against taijutsu close range attacks, but the wall can be pushed back with a stronger wind jutsu or if a smoke bomb or explosive tag touches the spinning wind they will automatically get activated because of the sharpness of the wind element, damaging the user also.
This next jutsu is useful for moving out of the way of incoming attacks, or simply moving yourself to a more advantageous spot. First, you will jump into the air, and then you will blow out a powerful stream of wind which will push you in any direction you choose. After that, I will need you to blow the wind towards the ground in order to whip up some dust and create a sort of visual obstruction which makes it so your opponent can't track you. After all that, I would like the same template as before; creative uses, drawbacks, other things you've found about the technique, etc.

performing this jutsu

As my sensei intructs me on the basis of this tech, I gather a variable amount of chakra, and use nature manipulation to convert it into futon chakra, while doing so I jump in the air and blow out a powerful stream of futon chakra which forces me to travel backwards, after I'm done doing that, I blow a stream of wind upon the ground which creates an visual obstructive wall, completely destroying my enemies visual contact.

Creative uses

A very useful tech to push away from your enemy to avoid sudden attacks, keeping mind it moves you to whatever direction inlcuding it doesn't depend on the requirement of hand seals makes it a very formidable tech, moreover the ability to summon dust to conceal view, gives me certain advantages upon the battlefield.

DownFall/Creative uses

Other then it's low rank, it can be countered quite efficiently, not to mention, to blow of the dust you need a suitable terrain for it, so in some cases it won't be handy, since the obstruction is made from dust, the dust can be blown away quite easily, also first of you have to jump to perform the tech (I don't know wether that's a necessity) it can leave you quite vulnerable, If I might say

(Fūton: Kaze Ogawa no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Wind Stream Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique allows the user to change direction in mid-air at high speeds by simply blowing wind out their mouth. The user can also use this technique by blowing it at the ground and causing a dust cloud to rise, concealing the users location and movement.
Note: The user must already be airborne to use
Using the same format as before, we will move on. This next technique is similar to the one you just performed, but I want you to blow the stream straight away from you in one direction while grounded. Then, use the stream's power to dislodge rocks from the ground and make them fly with the stream, increasing the destructive force of this technique by adding rocks to the natural cutting power. Your wind should also be strong enough to lift your opponent up into the air.

Performing this tech

As sharingdork explains the basis of this tech, I immediatly gather a considerate amount of futon chakra within my lungs and exhale slowly and creatin a gesture of wind which blows towards the grounds dislodging small rocks and making them fly along with the stream, which can be used as a natural source of cutting power, including the ability to lift the enemy into mid air.

Creative uses

Just like the previous tech, this tech is pretty useful to push the enemy away and lifting them into air, allowing the ability to dislodge rocks which will hit the enemy harming him along with it, which can supposedly allow the user to refrain the opposition from peofrming hand seals, or sudden movements, considering the fact it lifts the opponent in mid air it's also great to attack in combination from there on.

Downfalls/Counters

Well considering the jutsu is quite predicate, the enemy can profficiantly dodge it from being caught in the stream or presumably blow the stream away or push it back with a more powerful jutsu, also the opponent can use a strong defended based shiled, mainly Doton or suiton to avoid the stream.

Just perform the technique with great detail.

(Futon: Kaze Iwa Rendan) - Wind Release: Wind Rock Barrage
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user creates a huge stream of wind that carries rocks and lifts the opponent into the air where the rocks hit them.

Okay you will gather fuuton chakra and release a stream of wind towards this chunks of rocks while the stream is being released it will lift the rock as well as the dummy stationed behind them. The rocks will begin to hit the dummy because of the wind stream.

Hey there! So you'd be training me now? How awkward.

As noni explains me this tech I hereby stand close and nod rhythmically, while he breifly enlightens me on the jutsu, closely following his instructions, he sets up a dummy upto short range from my standing postions, DS takes a stance and erases his mind of all obstructions and baseless thoughts, and crackles his kneck, he then gathers a specific amount of chakra within his lungs, and then uses nature manipulation to convert the chakra into futon (wind), he tilts forwards and slightly sends a huge stream of wind which dislodges the rocks on the hard ground, casuing them to swarm towards the dummy, and the opposing target being caught in and lifted along with rocks, the rocks then swirl around hitting the dummy along with it.

From now on use this template.

PHP:
Perform the technique:
Creative uses/strengths:
Drawbacks/counters:
How to use the template and fill it out effectively. This will also help your career in RP but it is quite a read though I do expect you to read it and carefully at that. I will notice if you have or not, and failure to write out the template correctly will result in a re-do of the jutsu(s).

Performance
When it comes to the performing point of the template, its all about imagination but this one is considered the most obvious of the whole template. When the student performs something you need to paint a picture in the teachers head to give them a clear image of everything that is going on and how you are reacting or feeling about the jutsu. Each jutsu will give different feelings and reaction. It is your job simply to show me how and what you are feeling and what is going on when performing the jutsus.

The things I expect in the performance are two things that are most important when performing the jutsus. The first is called Nature Manipulation. Nature manipulation is when the user will manipulate or control their raw chakra to change in basic nature which is one of the five basic elements. Now most people like to simply say something like this:
I gather my chakra and nature manipulate it into lightning chakra.
Yes this is okay but where is the creativity or the respect of actually wanting to perform and feel the jutsu? Now to explain every basic element properly on how to manipulate chakra into nature with more imagination and creativity such examples like this would work.
With my raw chakra gathered I begin to take focus upon the chakra. I begin to think of the warmth of the very sun and the blazing heat it gives off, I condense the chakra and finally mold the chakras nature into fire.

After gathering my chakra, I begin to take full control over it. I sharpen the chakra having the precious sharpness that surpasses that of a sword. Successfully I mold the chakra into wind chakra.
Now this is pretty much the basis when it comes to nature manipulation on how I see fit and what is best to impress your teacher. Now if you are wondering about how should I explain all the natures, well think about their property. Lightning has high frequent vibration and electrical sharpness, fire is superheated and blazing warm, water is free-flowing and very flexible, earth is rough and versatile, wind is sharp and thin with great accuracy. To be able to explain them you simply have to free your mind and become as creative as you can.

Now I can understand some times you don't want to go that deep into the jutsu because some are more simple then others and I can understand that, all I ask is to try and not be lazy with it.

The second thing that is most important when performing a jutsu correctly is called Shape manipulation. Now this is when you take the chakra or the chakra nature and shape it into any form or shape it requires to be properly formed. Shapes include spheres, animals (All types), blades, ect. This is all about attention to detail, and how precious you want to be when trying to perform the jutsu. Now here is a regular example that is done usually.
I manipulate the shape of my chakra to form a bullet.
Though again, that is not exactly wrong but where is the fun and creativity in that? This is all about paying attention to detail and how much you want to focus up on it. Here are some other examples that are more suffice.
After gathering my lightning chakra, I lengthen its size and sharpen the edge of the chakra to create a spear of lightning.

As I gather my chakra and release it forward, I begin to shape it and make it round as well as smooth leaving no bumps to create a spherical ball of chakra.
This is pretty much all it takes nothing more or less. You do not need to go extreme but detail is always best not only for me as a teacher but when you get in the habit of making proper and creative replies it will follow you in battle and help you greatly their when the time comes.

Creative uses/strengths

Now we are getting to the important part of all this. Now with this template I expect two things each with a total amount of detail. What I mean is firstly I expect you to tell me the strengths of a certain jutsu, I don't care how it works. I want to know what makes it useful. Things like that can include the jutsu is able to move in all ranges giving it a large amount of mobility. Another is you can send multiple attacks with one jutsu to attack more then one opponent or trying to barrage the opponent with attacks to make evasion difficult. Yes this are quite the small strengths but stuff like this count in the eyes of a teacher and needs to be taken in account. Though those are just some small examples what you really need to do is look into the jutsu itself. Try adding all or as much strengths with what you see in the jutsu. Also I understand some jutsus are more simple then others and might not have as much advantages but that is okay, its all about trying and thinking about it. But I do expect 1-3 strengths mentioned.

Lastly to perfect the strength portion, this is simple but something so many students fail to do. When you give a strength explain why that is considered a strength. Yes explain why. This is the most important part because it shows us how you plan on using it in battle and the teacher will be able to pick out what you have done wrong specifically. So simply saying it goes long range does not make it a hardcore advantage because if you think about it, that can also be considered a disadvantage. So by saying that it is very wrong and can confuse the teacher, all we really do is assume and guess what you are trying to say. So trying to perfect it, you would need to say something like this. This is the correct and proper way in doing the strength portion of the template.
The jutsu goes in long range, because of this the opponent will not be able to evade that easily by just pushing back and it can correspond with other jutsus.
Now the second portion of the template is creative usages. What is this is simply a combo or something you would do with the jutsu. This helps the teachers notice your style and what you are likely to accomplish in fighting so if you are doing anything wrong we can inject it and fix it so you do not make a mistake in battle. This is all about just being creative, every jutsu has a unique usage and can be used creatively or at the very least used in correspondence with other jutsus to create a combo to attack the opponent or turn the table on them.

Simple combos are of all kind, and most teachers will explain the jutsus usually giving a combo or a usage you can use, but it is the very basic of it. It is simply meant to show you how it is meant to be used or just to give you an idea. All because the teacher says it does not mean we want you to repeat what we said. You need to come up with another detail or combo. Simple combos could be like sending a fire jutsu towards the opponent and then use a jutsu to shake the ground to put the opponent off balance so it will be hard to react with the attack, and a more powerful combo could be when sending a fire jutsu direct it towards the ground and then send a single blade of wind behind the fire, which you can then activate the blade to turn into a hurricane to create a powerful fire vortex. Though with newer RPers they tend to sometimes use basic combos because they have seen less of the jutsu list or understand it less then others, but when you move on and learn more jutsu creating combos become much more easier and you begin to take action effectively.

Drawbacks/counters

Now this is the complete opposite of the strengths and creative usages. This is as equal as the strengths and creative usages for it allows the teacher to see exactly how is your understanding of the jutsu. Usually when people look at jutsus they tend to leave this with very little detail and failure to explain it properly. This is because many people believe disadvantages are to obvious to try and explain on why its a disadvantage which is the wrong mentality when doing this point. There are things with drawbacks and counter that need to be taken in account. What I usually expect from the student here is at least 1-3 drawbacks and at least one counter for the jutsu you would do.

Drawbacks when looking into it is not explained from the student, it is usually because of the double standards people give to jutsus. As I explained in the above long range attacks would be great attacks but their are disadvantages to them, one being is if the opponent is long range it will take much more time for the attack to reach the opponent so they will be able to counter the attack with ease. The thing is when it comes to advantages their will always be a disadvantage to that very thing. If something is great to use in short range battle it is useless in long range, if the jutsu is a projectile technique it can be used with combos but the jutsu will usually be straightforward and easy to anticipate. This is something always to consider when writing disadvantages that they're will always be one as long as you have listed advantages or mention them. So if you have two advantages mentioned then their is a huge likely hood that their will be two disadvantages with that, so their should not be much of a ratio difference between the two.

Listing proper drawbacks all depends on the way you fight and how you see the jutsu being used, usually it is looked at if the jutsu is sent or used against you, what would be the initial weaknesses you would sense. Firstly too look into listing them you have to take account everything in your senses and the jutsu concept. When it comes to the senses examples include if you send a large fire attack towards the opponent you will likely not be able to see through the fire so you won't be able to see how they are moving or what they are doing. If the opponent tries to use a jutsu with earth release that uses the ground as a medium you will be able to use your sense of feel, to feel the density of the ground begin to shift or change. Stuff like this are obvious disadvantages. Now when it comes with the jutsu concept those are usually the usual people tend to look into, so lets say the chidori only works in close range battle so it can't be used for anything but close range battle limiting the jutsu. Also jutsus that have long list of hand seals are disadvantages because it might take some time to perform the jutsu leaving you open. Streaming techniques are usually not good to use with combos but you have complete control where you aim them. (Notice their how their is a disadvantage but also a advantage because of that ability)

Lastly when it comes to countering the jutsu. Now how teachers picture your combos is usually as if the jutsu has already been sent so saying things like:
While he is performing the long list of hand seals I will send an attack before he completed them.
Yes they work but it will not always be the case like that so you need to be able to counter it as if it was already sent, though its not bad to mention that aspect saying because of the hand seals you can counter before he completes them but it is not what we look at, you are not simulating a battle situation, and that is what teachers what you to try to do and how they want to teach as if you were in battle. Remember when we were talking about how disadvantages work? Those are usually what a person will look at when trying to counter the jutsu, so lets say the opponent sends a lightning blade towards you as a projectile attack, this is what is acceptable.
Due to the fact it is straight forward and easy to notice (See the disadvantage) I can simply figure out where it is heading and I can create a dense defense like a wall or try to overpower it.
So using those disadvantages you listen can be used to make the proper counter towards the jutsu so remember that.

Lastly it is the type of counters we want to see. When it comes to countering a jutsu we don't want you just to stop the jutsu, we want you to turn the table and go on the offense so to impress try to add ways to not only defend but attack as well. Also try not to spam the same counter over and over, what I mean by that is if the opponent sends a lightning attack don't just say:
I will send a wind attack to overpower it.
That is far to generic, yes some techs are more straightforward then others but those should be the ones you can formulate better counters with, its okay to experiment and say something new or outside the box, that is what teachers want to see and what they expect. So instead of using a wind jutsu, why not use a water pillar to launch you in the air and then send a attack to go on the quick offense? Simple yes, but at least it is not generic and overdone.

So that is the basis of everything, all in all try to have fun and be creative with it, this is meant for enjoyment as well as a learning experience.
