Here is the problem I have, and anyone with a decent amount of sensibility will agree. Edo Itachi cannot be used as a basis for making one a "god". Before Itachi died, he was amongst the most intellectually smartest fighters in the manga. He was NOT however a god, nor was he invincible. Sure, Susan'oo makes him one of the hardest opponents to counter or fight, but everyone has limits ... everyone.

Going into further detail, here are a few points about the real Itachi:

- Itachi himself is dead
- Itachi like all Uchihas will lose the sight in his eye(s) unless he acquired EMS which he didn't
- Itachi, if he were alive, could (possibly) only use Izanami on one target, one foe and lose complete sight in the eye that he used it from
- Itachi in the end was actually outsmarted by Tobi, as he had not fully understood what/who he was

Now then. The misleading dilema that is Edo Itachi. Edo Itachi is a huge white elephant in the Narutoverse. He is an accident ... yes I said it, an accident. He was "never" meant to become what he is currently. KA was never intended to be used on himself, it was meant for Sasuke (proof of this can be found in episode 550 page 12) but just to quote "and cast the 'Koto Amatsukami' on Sasuke". This to me, makes Edo Itachi the biggest plot no jutsu **** up in the entire manga, to date.

Is he a god? No. Can he be likened to a god in prowess? Probably. But I say again, I believe he is the biggest plot no jutsu **** up in the entire manga and more importantly, his very existence is a mistake.

Itachi with his Izanami(A jutsu fakes enermy's vision and easily control them)
Izanami could work on all targets even jinchuriki.This jutsu can make him become a prime god.
Hiruzen will be defeated by Itachi easily (Anyone who agreed with Hiruzen Prime god thread are wrong)

I agree Itachi is one of the most capable Ninjas so far, because his skills are in every sense just overwhelming. Not only he's one of the smartest Ninjas so far, his abilities are the most varied too. Unlike the most, Itachi is an all-rounder, he's using powerful Genjutsus, powerful Ninjutsus and excellent Taijutsu. His usage of weapons is outstanding, just like his speed. He's able to keep in every situation calm, analyse the situation immediately and read his opponents like an open book. His intelligence in combination with his various skills are making him to one of the best Shinobis.

Quite frankly I'm tired of how OP he is everytime he comes back into the spotlight. For once I would like someone to just overwhelm him and he be honestly surprised. Just die Itachi, the world can go on without you.
