i thought they just used there own genjutsu to break kabutos but maybe

yeah, i think the same, u can see Itachi in Genjutsu Sasuke was caught and visa versa... they freed each other from Tayuyas genjutsu.

Still, it would be out of character for him NOT to try to sway him in some way. I hope he'll say something brotastic of epic proportions, give him a poke to the forehead, hug him and then disappear.

I just remember something....

tsukutomi allows the user to replace it's victim in a world of endless genjutsu. Sasuke and Itachi would have all the time they needed to talk about what really happen in the past, trainning, and uchiha's jutsu. Notice how Sasuke says "that's it!"? What took a second or a look gave sasuke what could be a lifetime of trainning with his older brother. However, will being in this Genjutsu world with Itachi help him see he's going down the same path as Kabuto?

It's just disappointing to me that if Itachi wasn't Edo right now, Kabuto would've killed him already. Man Kishi, what happened to the badass Itachi that was merciless and untouched? Now Kabuto is making him look like he's nothing, it really sucks for an Itachi fanboy like me. These are two times that Kabuto "killed" Itachi.

Kabuto has gotten 100x better since the beginning of the show. I didn't like him once he turned evil, but now he's just freaking awesome!

Itachi was overrated anyways,
im pretty sure he's letting himself get hit, using edo to his advantage really.
If he had his real live body, he'd be more cautious.

I know what itachi is doing. Itachi know he can regenerate so he is able to take more risk so he can act with out regard of his life Itachi's brain is a super computer he does not do anything with out some sort of reason. i think even an itachi fan boy would see that

Spoiler Alert : Itachi is still Badass and those who read and see the Manga carefully can easily tell Itachi is still alive. Itachi used a Mokuton Clone. Look at the manga (right on top) and look at the picture where it shows kabuto after he slashed itachi in half. Then look at Itachi lower stomach at the bottom and theres someting weird.

Maybe Izanami is already in effect? Notice how one of Itachi's eyes is gone. We'll have to see what happens in the next chapter.

Yea i think he's taking the hits too, he knows he can't die. Also, he is relying on Sasuke to protect him whilst he gets smashed around a bit, personally, i think this is a mistake as Sasuke isnt on the same level as Itachi (and clearly Kabuto as well). But we shall see.

Maybe he didnt want to do too much jutsu wise so that he could prepare Izanami quicker?

What i think is that izanami work by you touching the person? and maybe itachi will be turn back into kabuto side but that why itachi used tsokoyomi to give everything to sasuke and tell him everything remember tsokoyomi 3 day and 1 sec in real life
