He was superior to both Naruto and Sasuke at some point. He was meant to be their equal and rival. What bothers me more than his death is how Kishi after all this , was sleeping on his progress and how he was completely ignoring him in part 2. I have feeling his death is just confirmation that Kishi didn´t have any plan for him so he decided to remove him.

I really get angry when people say Sasuke could have defeated Neji in Chunin exams. Like how?

Sasuke just had was crappy chidori that's all. He was able to break Gaara's barrier but I'm sure he wouldn't have been able to touch Neji.

I never thought about it but it would have been interesting to watch Pt 1 Gaara against Neji. They would be able to match. Can't imagine who would have won.

Neji's character was wasted. Well everyone's was but especially Neji. Everyone was like Naruto taught me that and that while Naruto didn't give a damn about anyone but was like sasuke! Sasuke! Sasuke!

Sasuke can barely pierces Gaara defence with his chidori and yet Neji defense is even more stronger than Gaara.

So really I don't know wtf Kishi was smoking, Neji potential was completely shafted and his Jounin rank was hyped up because we assume he plays important role. Kishi probably learned his mistakes when he claims he wanted to make Boruto better than Naruto given the fact that even someone like Shino gets more spotlight than both P1 and P2. :lol
Unlike all other side characters who may given some opportunities to shine, Neji will never receive a chance. The only thing left for him is flashback and that's all we're most likely getting.

in part 1 Neji had really good development despite not being main character. In part 2 he got ignored, no character development or some significant relevancy to the plot . Kishi didn˙t even gave him any fight at all. All he did was to make him only Jonin probably Kishi way to show his superiority among rest of Konoha 11.


Now regarding chunin exams its clear Neji would won in chunin exam against Sasuke.

- Chidori is never landing or gets repeled by rotation.

- He gets demolished in CQC because all he had was copy/paste from Lee without any gate and only for short amount of time and then he gets exausted because he lack hard training and stamina like Lee to keep that for a while.We know Lee without gates was fodder compared to Neji.

- Any fire jutsu is too slow and can be repeled by rotation.

Don´t know about Gaara honestly.

I argued with Neosmith once about chuunin exams Gaara and Neji... He argued Neji wins and he did bring good points but i still disagree.. Neji and Lee was the best rivalry from part 1 though.. Lee needed to get to 3 gates and above meaning the 1st and 2nd gates wouldn't still be enough.. Neji was savage. Damn Kishi for real xD

Bolt got the seal because Momoshiki sensed his Byakugan Blood. This might mean that only those of Hyuga descent can have the seal, which would mean all the Kaara members have Byakugan Blood. IF, and that's a big if, if that is that case, it would be really stupid since none of the Kara members actually have Byakugan.

That's assuming that was in fact why Momoshiki gave Bolt the seal anyways, it could also be he was given the seal because of whatever fate he saw in Bolt.

I'm pretty sure you have to kill the ootsutski to get the mark however I don't think the same case goes for the Kara organizations. They probably been bestowed by them because there's no way some low tier could kill the ootsutski to attain one. It took 4 kages with Naruto/Sasuke and Boruto to kill momoshiki.

It could be combination of 2 or even all 3 of those you said. But I think the 3 option is sure one of the reasons (thats what Momo implied).

Anyway those seals are not the same so their meaning , power ,reason and way of receiving them could be completely different from Boruto´s case.

Yes its true what you said and this was just confirmation. You don't need superhuman strength to parry attack against someone with superhuman strength. This manga doesn't follow real life so user hand won't be crushed or damaged when they block superhuman strength. This is not just in this manga but many other comics and mangas.So any Hyuga can easily block CES user attack they only need to avoid direct hit by fist to the body head or so.

But this should be obvious only trolls don't realise this. Madara did the same he blocked Tsunade or Raikage punch just by his hands and his hand wasn't crushed. Naruto did the same. Kisame too against Gai ( Gai in base can smash rocks).
