That's crazy how I can get instantly better when I'm looking at NaruHina fan art, I guess I'm not the only one with that feeling.

I first speculated that Boruto's eye might be inbetween the Byakugan and the Tenseigan, but after a ton of thought and analysis, primarily with the word play being used for both the Sharringan family and the Byakugan family tree came down with the hypothestis that the Tenseigan (The Reincarnation Eye) was an attempt to get to the Jougan and that likely the Jougan is the original byakugan eye before it was diluted to the white eye, the byakugan.
This will also lead to Boruto surpassing the older generation if indeed my theory of his eye being the original eye that the founder of the Ootsutki had.
I mean what would be better then having a powerup via genetic traits (Hinata's pure byakugan + Naruto pure something) from the founder of the Ootsutki clan?
Boruto will face off against the Jagan and the fate of Shinobi and aliens alike will be decided from there.

I'm wondering if his Okutsuki Chakra from his parents could be transmitted and that would be the reason of his "hybrid byakugan"?
I don't understand why only 1 eye and what about Himawari it would make sense for her she is sharing the same blood

I don't think his eye is a new eye or even a Hybrid
his eye means PURE eye so no mixing or contamination
if it was a mix it would be of the purest form
and I don't think this is the first time that eye existed since the Tenseigan means Reincarnation eye, which means that it wants to become something that already existed and the Jougan already has a name via Toneri

it just hit me
lol what if not only did Boruto get the Jougan like the Ootsutki founder but he is a reincarnation of the founder
and even crazier unlike Indra and Ashura the founder slowly takes over Boruto or rather Boruto becomes more like the founder

maybe the Jougan is a sole eye dojutsu and the Jagan is the other
maybe Hima has the other eye
maybe Boruto will unlock both Jougans for both eyes
it is all up in the air right now...
Boruto may even later get a regular byakugan too, that he defaults to
