One more thing kawwaki could be using the tree that absorbed all chakra. He did not mention Naruto dieing instead he said I I'll send you to same place as 7th. There is chance that he wants to absorb all chakra. And Naruto is covered in that tree.

Kawaki likely has power from an Ootsutsuki, but I don't think he wants all Chakra. His intentions are pretty much unknown, but I doubt it's something so bland.

Personally, I'd want it to be a Hyuga-centered arc mostly revolving around Naruto, Neji, and Hinata's bondsm and it should take place after the Kage Summit after Naruto returns from fighting Sasuke. Of course, Neji should be the MC of such a flashback arc if it happens. I imagine the arc starting by Bolt/Himawari asking Hinata to tell them about a story about their uncle :lol

Having Hyuga centric arc would always nice but I don't see how it's going fit in this timeline when right after Kage summit arc ended, the very next thing that happen is when Naruto and his companion headed off to the sea to meet Bee. Especially when it only took few days to set up for the war arc to happen and during that period both Neji and Hinata were else where.

I think it should happen during after the Pain arc which I think the time would be right with Naruto keeping touch with Hinata after how she made confession with Naruto and played prominent factor against Pain that left big impact on him. I find its best suitable choice to go this path rather than ignoring everything until 2 arcs later. There we will see with Neji interactions with naruto and hinata.

Or they could showcase the hyuga central plot during kage summit arc in relation with the cloud village. Naruto doesn't have to there with neji and hinata especially he was in the middle of no where chasing after Sasuke which isn't possible at all. In fact it doesn't always have to be revolve around Naruto. It would be much better if Neji and Hinata gets their own storyline and character development.

I also like to see what happen during everything occured between sasuke retrieval arc (Part 2) to the Pain arc while Neji was off screen.

- Neji training with Hinata before shippuden started and in between arcs. ( My sig)
- Neji vs Rock Lee
- How Neji became a Jounin in partake the Chuunin Exam ( I know we got some filler arc about it but he didn't get any solid fight even despite he was presented really well displayin awesome feat, it's still not enough to satsfy especially considering it's non-canon.)
- How Neji played active role as a jounin.

These are all on top of my head that I really like to see it happen.

I don't think it was said how much time passed between the Kage Summit and Naruto going to the Turtle Island, so it could fit in there. If not, then definitely between the Pain and Kage Summit arcs. That way, we can potentially at least have Neji show feats on par with Sage Mode Naruto.

I think it would be best to include Naruto in such an arc, simply due to the fact that it would make Neji dying for him FAR more believable if they were given some interaction beforehand. So I don't want something like the Kage Summit idea. However, just because Naruto is involved, doesn't mean he'd have to hog the spot light, it could still focus on Neji.

Anime already established Hinata as one of the main characters. Combine that with how much they like Hinata, and she;s bound for some good screen time.

Well she made appearance in first episode. That's a good thing. I hope we get to see Neji flashbacks too. Like Bolt doing something and Hinata thinking how much they (Bolt and Neji) resemble. Or just Hinata telling the kids stories of their uncle. she tells them stories about Nauto so it's possible.

Well its reasonable to be optimistic when Boruto has a promising start which felt like a breath of fresh air with high budget movie quality art and animation. Watching boruto feels like a refreshment and it has a second chance to redeem itself as long as it doesn't have anything to do with another Naruto x Sasuke show because there is a chance that Kaweki might ended up like them and it'll be another annoying recycle format but even if its a case the Good thing is that Kaweki STILL havn't made proper introduction and that could be a good thing if if it doesn't if it doednt go to this same route becuase that would mean there will still be more room of characters development like Hinata, Himawari and other characters.

From the look of it, everything going well for now when alot of side characters seemingly getting their own screen time so I am really being hopeful as well considering this takes place even before ch700 so that would mean Boruto would spend more time with Hinata and Himawari than doing daily mission.

Anime already established Hinata as one of the main characters. Combine that with how much they like Hinata, and she;s bound for some good screen time.

Apparently Shino is also the Main cast and I wouldn't be much surprise if he's only relevant in Academy arc and then ended up like Iruka. I think there will be a bonding moment with Shino and Boruto and how Shino trying to give him a proper instruction about being shinobi and his relation with Team 8 and Naruto.

hinata's vocab during the entirety of naruto + shippuden was "n-n-naruto-kun" how can u guys be fans of her?????? and are there any relevant byakugan clan characters even left?
