No it was made/awakened by the power of thousands of byakugan which were sealed thousands of years ago and the pure eyes which he took from hanabi.

Yeah. But the power of the 1000 byakugan is required too. That's why when Hinata and Naruto destroyed the energy ball. It slowly started to fade. Also toonari crossed his chakra limit so all the byakugan's got destroyed. Such a waste.
No it's not, that was just false info. Hamura awaken the Dojutsu himself. 1000 Byakugan are used as a power source for the moon and what was moving it.
Which makes me wonder if Hanabi can activate the Tensiugan.
She can't. Tonari awakened it because he was an ootsutsuki and after stealing hanabi's eyes (which obviously had hyuga DNA) both of the bloodlines met and tada! Tenseigan.
But it was her eyes that he awakened it in and she got them back. Nagato didn't have Ashura or Indra chakra but was still able to wield its power.
