Yeah, the Yin-Yang symbol is a bit of a popular symbol for baguazhang circle walking (Baguazhang being the style Jyuken is based upon).

I think of it like a fancy yin yang symbol.
I think they might also symbolize elements but it's hard to remember.

the yinyang symbol being the hyuga clans sign has always made me wonder what exactly made them choose that. I mean, there has to be significance.

We even see the yinyang sign when tobi kills konan and its used as the pupil of the juubi's eye, being surrounded by tomoes and ripples. Its like that eye is combining Byakugan, sharingan and rennigan
