Re: Strongest of the Hidden Leaf: The Hyuga Clan FC

I really hope everything you guys say happen in the manga =D Some Turson guy believes Hinata had enough attention because she is a side character.. he says she won't play a crucial role anymore that it'll be Sakura.. I hope that is not the case. If hinata gets a role I bet Turson will feel like an idiot.
Meh, An Ns + Sakura fan always hopes for the worst for Hinata and the Hyuga. Really. I've seen NS/Sakura fans hate on the Hyuga only because "The Cow" is part of that clan.

But a Yin-Yang Byakugan is very likely, and so is the possibility of the Hyuga having some close tie to the Sage, considering all the little tidbits we've noticed.

I've always found it kinda weird how the Hyuga try to hide the secrets of the Byakugan? What secrets anyways?

If you can recall, Naruto tells Neji during their fight that, once he's Hokage, he'll make sure to change the Hyuga clan, and get rid of the Caged Bird seal that is branded on the Side family.

It seems that these words of his are symbolic in some ways. I believe the Sage passed on some of his secrets and they are now in the hands of the Hyuga, much like with the Uchiha, when he died. They were the only ones with eye abilities then and this is the reason the Main-Side family idea came in; to protect the Secrets more effectively .

however, Naruto, as the next Sage, will need to KNOW these secrets, and once these secretsa re known, there will be no need for the Seal anymore, and the Hyuga clan will finally be free from the burden of the Caged Bird Seal.

I'm still a fan of the Elder Son Dojutsu being the appearance of the Hyuga eye. I mean in theory the black swirls on white eyes would make a balance of the colors like a Pseudo-Yin-Yang.....the problem I see with a real Yin-Yang eye is that they would in theory have two...technically three pupil points. Their center iris eye....the white dot in the black and the black dot in the white :/

But I mean if Kishi threw in any eye advancement....it's not like I'd complain, and a Yin-Yang eye would still look epic.

I like that idea. Something along the lines of this:

You must be registered for see images

The interesting part about that is the ''Tai Ji'' part. Within ''Tai ji'' is something called ''Sun Style''. Sun style is well known for its smooth, flowing movements which omit physically vigorous crouching, which should remind you of the Hyuuga battle style.

To top it off, Hyuuga means: "towards the sun" or "place in the sun".
That's. Really good find! Good work!

Found these on google Images:

Madara: Hiashi!!! We had a deal!!!
Hiashi: I don't remember making deals with fodder ninjas.
Hiashi: Jyuuken, GG Mads
XD Hiashi being boss. But tonhe serious, hiashi could maybe stop a susano, since he was bale to stop 10 tails arm, which is much bigger.

I now this is mostly just an assumption but....

If we assume the sage was indeed uzumaki/hyuga we can come to the conclusion that the spiral on the elder son's eyes are nothing more than a seal. Why do I say this? Well, we know that most uzumaki fuinjuutsu use spirals in their design, and we know that the hyuga are the only ones who have any knowledge of sealing dojutsu. So I think those eyes are nothing more than sealed-away byakugans. But I obviously could.be wrong.....

Anyways, I think the spirals would make hinata look kinda crazy and take away from her calm/blank/xollected appearance.... I think, of anyone were to get those eyes, it should be Sasuke, since he really IS crazy XD

As for having three pupils, I don't think that's much of a problem, I.means, just look at the sharingan

The seal concept makes sense, but I doubt the Elder Son...more as the Rikkudo Sennin....would seal his son's eyes...mostly because he seemed to clearly loved his son, but also I don't see a handicapped elder son would have existed :/.

As for Hinata....I've always imagined it would take extreme sadness to push Hinata to that level. So I always imagine her in a state that appears somewhat emotionless or where she's completely focused....instead of showing the entirety of the eye with all the spiral, her eyes would be half closed showing only the bottom half of the eyes....which would be more threatening and mysterious than crazy ^.^

But yeah I could see where you're coming from there.

It's always made me wonder why the Byakugan, Sharingan & Rennigan are collectively reffered to as "The Three Great Dojutsu" rather than simply "The Three Dojutsu".... Why is that? Why have that "great" there if these eyes are the only dojutsus in the owrld.... Well, that's because they're not.

Ksihimoto has hinted and alluded to "lesser" dojutsu a few times using several characters.

Deidara's Left Eye.

Through unknown methods, Deidara was able to train his eye to execute two different abilities.
The first is the ability to see through Genjutsu, much like the sharingan.

You must be registered for see images

The second is to see long distances, much like the Byakugan.

You must be registered for see images

Kidomaru's Forehead Eye

This eye has shown the ability to See chakra, much like the three great dojutsu, and also increase the users accuracy when attacking, similar to the Sharingan & Byakugan.

Zetsu's "Golden Byakugan"

This eye has displayed the ability to record events by watching them and replay them for others through unknown means.

Gaara & his Father's Third eye jutsu

By using Sand or golden dust, the user connect their third eye with their optic nerve, allowing for the user of this jutsu to scan / observe their surroundings.

What my point here is, is that the Three Great Dojutsu are called "Great" becasue they are linked/stem from the sage, while the aforementioned "lesser" dojutsu aren't connected to the sage.

Re: Strongest of the Hidden Leaf: The Hyuga Clan FC

When we get to twenty pages, you should throw a party. d:
LOL! Well to celebrate the 10 page anniversary I present the Hyuga Arc...the one we deserved, but no the one we need....because we wouldn't die if it wasn't there.

Our Story takes place between the Itachi Pursuit Arc and the Invasion of Pain Arc. I would have put it after Pain, but the war immediately follows without delay. So unfortunately I have to deviate from the story to a minor degree. Namely, news of Jiraiya's death is delayed in its arrival to Tsunade....meaning that Naruto hasn't found out yet...and neither has he been chosen to be a sage.

I have Two Chapters done correctly, and about 4/5 pages I need to re-vise the writing style to fit as a full FF Arc....so if you guys do end up liking this one, I'll be happy to post the rest of them here. A thank you to Nami Usagi for inspiration/motivation and Biju Naruto for editing.

Chapter 1: Ignorant Sun

Naruto is strolling through Konoha. “Ahh…I’m so bored!” Naruto exclaimed to himself. Just then he noticed Sakura was standing up ahead. “SAKURA-CHAAAAAAN!” yelled Naruto oblivious to the confused expression on his teammate’s face. The number one knucklehead ninja walked over to his kunoichi friend hoping he’d gain at least a Ramen Date at Ichiraku Ramen. “Oi Sakura-Chan, how about we go for some Ramen!”

“Huh…oh hey Naruto,” Sakura replied finally noticing Naruto. “It’s been an hour already…” Sakura thought to herself, “Alright…I could use some food, and considering you seem to be unable to eat anything other than Ramen it isn’t like we have a choice.” The two Shinobi then walked a couple of minutes to Ichiraku Ramen and ordered themselves a bowl of Ramen.

As they were eating, it finally occurred to Naruto that Sakura’s mind seemed pre-occupied. “Uh…Sakura-Chan, you seem kinda spaced out today…did you drink some sake or something…” Immediately following his dense question, he was pummeled into the table and his steaming ramen broth.

“BAKA I HAVEN’T BEEN DRINKING…FURTHERMORE I’D NEVER DRINK ENOUGH TO BE INTOXICATED IN PUBLIC!” After managing to recover from his recent beating, Naruto managed to stir up discussion once more.

“Oi Oi,” Naruto cried, “Can’t you take a joke….you just seem distracted so I was just wondering.”

Calming down, Sakura responded, “Well…yesterday I ran into Hinata and we decided to have lunch where you found me, but she was running over an hour late. It’s just so unlike her to be late....
I mean usually when we do things together she’s there before I am.”

“Hmmm…,” though Naruto out loud, “I guess that is a little odd….I don’t think Hinata’s ever said something and then not kept her word. YOSH! Let’s go find her and see what happened!” Here

“ARGHHHHHH!” cried Naruto, “We’ve searched everywhere…..where can she be…it’s like she’s a master of hiding!”

“Naruto…..Hinata is a Shinobi after all…so that wouldn’t be surprising. Then again I guess stealth means nothing to someone in an Orange Jumpsuit.”

“OI!,” retorted Naruto, “I’m totally stealthy!” Just before Naruto could continue he happened to notice Hinata a short distance away, and she was walking in their direction. “Sakura-Chan there she is! Let’s go!” said Naruto with a sense of renewed energy.

“Heh…good luck with that Naruto!” The sneering jest made Sakura and Naruto turn only to find a smug grin on Kiba Inuzuka’s face. Next to him stood the final member of Team Kurenai: Aburame Shino.

“What’s that supposed to mean?!” asked Naruto with a hint of annoyance at the air-headed Inuzuka.

“I meant just what I said,” responded Kiba, “Good luck.” The bickering amongst Kiba and Naruto suddenly halted as Hinata had now closed the gap between them.
“Oi Hinata!” called Naruto, “What’s up with you ditching Sakura for lunch today that isn’t like you.” Hinata walked right past the group of four shinobi: her eyes closed and a genuine smile on her face.

Chapter 2: Solar Flare

Naruto and Sakura stood motionless. Expressions of shock and disbelief hung on their faces. “I told you so,” smirked Kiba with a laugh.
“B-But how did you know she’d ignore me!” inquired Naruto…with a singe of aggravation in his voice. “Don’t tell me you coerced her into this like it’s some sort of game!” Finally stepping into the conversation, Shino decided to explain.
“Naruto. Kiba was already aware of the outcome… That’s because, Hinata ignores even us on this day.”

“Huuuh?” said Naruto, his aggravation replaced with confusion and a puzzled face. “That makes no sense…. Hinata isn’t a jerk like Dog-Breath over here!”

“Try saying that again!” cried Kiba as Akamaru barked in support.

“Well… whatever,” said Naruto casually, “It doesn’t matter. All I know is I’m going to go find Hinata and figure out why she’s ignoring us!”

“You will do no such thing Uzumaki Naruto.”

The four shinobi turned around to find none other than Neji Hyuga standing behind them. The Hyuga Branch member stood with his arms crossed and a stern expression on his face. Not to anyone’s surprise, his gaze was focused directly on the one whom he had addressed: Naruto.

“Neji?” said Sakura with a tint of confusion. Continuing in her head she followed up with, “What’s he doing here?”

“HAVEN’T WE HAD THIS DISCUSSION BEFORE!” shouted Naruto in defiance, “You can’t tell me what to do. It doesn’t matter if you’re a Hyuga…. I’m the man who’s gonna become Hokage… BELIEVE IT!” Neji kept his posture, but he closed his eyes and lowered them. Knowing that any further attempts to sway Naruto from what the Knucklehead Ninja had come up with… he decided to attempt an alternative approach.

“Naruto…. I’d tell you to leave Hinata-Sama alone, but I know you would simply ignore my request. Furthermore, if I try to detain you…. it will simply cause an unnecessary quarrel. While I would start such a quarrel to detain you…I would imagine the rest of you would simply aid Naruto, and even with my power, I cannot contain all of you. Naruto’s shadow clones would make this situation impossible to quarantine. As such, how about I propose a deal with you Naruto. You can follow Hinata so long as you do nothing to hinder her activities. This way you can see there is absolutely nothing that you need to be so intrusive about.”

“Tch…” breathed Naruto. Thinking to himself he started: “Ah man… if I try to ignore Neji….Hinata is gonna keep getting further away. Not to mention I’d have to fight him…… after the Chunin exams I could feel the effects of his attacks for days…who knows how bad it would be now.” Speaking aloud Naruto responded. “Alright… we’ll do it your way Neji….” Kiba gave out a short laugh as Sakura breathed a sigh of relief. “YOSH! AFTER HINATA!” The shinobi began to move out after Hinata. Neji breathing a sigh of annoyance knowing he’d have to go babysit Naruto.

Having been idle for only a few minutes, catching up to Hinata was an easy task… made easier with Kiba, Shino, and Neji’s tracking prowess. The group of five stopped behind a pole as they saw Hinata had made a stop at Gamatora’s Seafood Stand. “I don’t know why… but something feels oddly familiar stalking Hinata like this,” Naruto commented aloud. “It’s like something like this has happened before.”

“That isn’t surprising,” Shino commented, “That’s because, Hina—ACKHH!” Shino’s overly detailed response was cut short as Akamaru took a bite out of his leg.

“Eh!” exclaimed Naruto, “Oi Kiba I think Akamaru’s losing it… he just took a bite out of Shino for no reason.”

“Shut up Naruto,” sighed Kiba. Wearing a more serious expression Kiba continued: “Besides….this doesn’t make any sense.”

“I'm not following you Kiba,” questioned Sakura, “What's so odd about Hinata sitting down to eat... I mean sure it is odd she never showed up for our Lunch Date, but eating isn't that strange...”

“Eating isn’t the problem,” said Kiba, “It’s what she ordered that’s odd… not to mention this restaurant.”

“What’s odd about that…. I mean I get that it isn’t Ichiraku Ramen, but what’s so odd about food choice?” pondered Naruto. Having recovered his composure from his recent canine cadaver, Shino addressed the question at hand.

“Everything about it is odd. That’s because, she’s ordered too much food. Hinata would normally order Zenzai and Cinnamon rolls; however, she has also ordered Crab and Shrimp. This is the oddest part. This is because Hinata personally dislikes the taste of Crab and Shrimp…. Hmm?!”

Upon noting Shino’s surprise, the others turn to see why the Aburame was so puzzled. By this time, Hinata had finished the Zanzai; however, instead of digging into the Cinnamon rolls, she began to eat the Shrimp. After several minutes passed bye, Hinata had finished the Shrimp, but was apparently full as she paid for the meal as well as placed the remaining Crab and Cinnamon rolls into boxes to go. Observing and mentally noting how Hinata acted out of character according to Shino, Sakura took a glance only to find Neji intently staring: a noticeably upset, yet slightly sad, expression.

As our group of Shinobi Stalkers followed the Hyuga Heiress, they notice her pause at the Yamanaka flower shop and watch as she purchases a bouquet of Sunflowers. Continuing on an unknown path, Hinata slowly arrives at the Graveyard for Konoha Shinobi. Looking to the side, Naruto notices a look of intense sorrow on Neji’s face. Initially confused, Naruto looks carefully to notice that Hinata has stopped, and placed the sunflowers upon a grave. With a closer expression he makes out the name on the grave: Hizashi Hyuga. Recalling that the name happens to be that of Neji’s father, he immediately whispers to Neji. “Wait…is today the day your father...”

“No,” responded Neji, “This is not even the month my father passed on... Hinata often pays visits to my father’s grave.” Following this, Neji’s eyes narrowed with a hidden sense of sadness. Though, this action did not fail to go unnoticed by Sakura Haruno.

“Damn,” Naruto thought to himself, “She’s acting completely normal aside from a random taste for seafood… then why…. why does something seem wrong, and yet she’s so normal!” His self-meditation was cut short as Hinata began to move. By this point the sun had started to fall, and Hinata was seemingly on her way to the Hyuga Compound…. the group of five Konoha Shinobi still on her tracks. “TCHHH…. DAMN IT ALL!” cried Naruto suddenly.

“SHIT!” thought Neji to himself. It was too late as the Uzumaki had already gotten a head start on his march to the Hyuga Heiress. “I should have known he’d try something……. but Hinata-Sama was so close to the Compound I let my guard down!”

Hinata continued her slow and regular pace despite the marching Uzumaki quickly closing the gap. Her eyes were closed and a smile rested on her face having just finished prayers and blessings to her Uncle. All of it only added to Naruto’s annoyance. Finally catching up Naruto cried out, “OI HINATA WHAT GIVES! YOU COMPLETELY DITCHED SAKURA-SAN. THAT’S COMPLETELY UNLI…”

Having caught up to Hinata, he had placed his hand on her shoulder to turn her around. Suddenly Hinata’s eyes snapped open as if in shock, and before Naruto could finish his sentence the Hyuga Heiress quickly twirled around to her right as she smacked Naruto with the back of her hand. The bag containing the leftover meal from her lunch quickly flying from the hand: crashing on the ground spilling its contents.

“HOW DARE YOU LAY A HAND ON ME KYUUBI!” yelled Hinata. Not even waiting for a reply, she heightened her pace as she crossed the final distance between her and the Hyuga Compound leaving Naruto sitting on the ground with an expression disbelief in its truest form.

Thanks!

I have the writing done for about 6/7 chapters worth of the story, but I origionally wrote it in a Wikipedia cover format.

I was actually responding to one of your posts on here...as I was mentioning how it is easy to come up with an arc. After realizing I had already written way too much for a "simple" post....that and halfway through I switched from a Wikipedia description to an actual FF format...I just said screw it and ended up writing it!

That's true....I mean knowing what would become of him part II...please let him die a badass.

It was complete redemption....plus personally I found him the strongest of the Sound Four so an honorable opponent too.

Re: Strongest of the Hidden Leaf: The Hyuga Clan FC

this death would have been immensely better if Kishimoto had actually given some panel time to Neji and the other rookies after the timeskip. It would have been that much more impactful. But, Kishimoto kinda just put all the Konoha Rookies on the back burner for part II and gave them little to no development. They specifically were the reasons I started watching the anime and eventually got started reading the manga. Shino, Kiba, Lee, Neji, Choji, Shikamaru, Sasuke (before he went emo), and Ino. These characters were AWESOME. And aside from Shikamaru's team, none of them got any real development in the second half of the manga, and I've stopped caring about them as a reader. And that's sad.

I believe it is CHEAP for Kishi to try to convey a theme he set in part 1 and shown no concurrence with in part 2. In part 1, it was established that Neji is a genius. HOW THE HELL HAS NEJI BEEN ABLE TO DISPLAY THAT HE IS SUCH A BADASS/GENIUS IN PART 2?!?!?

He hasn't. We're asked to suspend belief and imagine Neji has always been this genius since part 1. SCREW THAT! Neji was clearly used as a plot device...an obvious, rushed plot device and that's why readers such as myself hated the death. If you're going to randomly kill Neji, then just kill him! Trying to make Neji seem like such an important figure to Naruto now is just stupid...****ING STUPID. Naruto & Neji NEVER had this sort of bond that Kishimoto so DESPERATLY tried to show in 614. No, the only person he has this sort of relation with was Sasuke, and maybe Gaara. It's even worse when you realize that there has been multiple opportunities for Neji to discuss with Naruto about how much he's "saved him" and how he's "similar to Sasuke". Ex: When the rookies confronted Naruto

When the alliance showed up in all its greatness. Neji wasn't even on a panel. The times we did see him he was getting completely overwhelmed and his "genius" wasn't being portrayed at all. More like mocked and fodderized. Then suddenly he drops from the sky in the last chapter only to die a few pages later. It would have been nice if he had at the very least died in the next chapter after doing a few cool things this round. Whatever the reason, It made me laugh and say wtf?

Re: Strongest of the Hidden Leaf: The Hyuga Clan FC

I love your Fanfiction, when I read yours, I thought about how Kishi could've done so much potential for the Hyuuga Development to someone like Neji & Hinata tribute.

OMG, Please keep it up, I'm looking forward to your next Chapters :bouncy:

Well, i think we'll get all or some of the following:

Byakugan's origin
Hyuga clan's past/relatin to uchiha
Byakugan power up via Hinata
relation to the six paths sage
Hinata becoming a stronger person, making hiashi allow her to be the clan leaser after the war or something.
I doubt hiashi's gonna die, though.

I keep thinking her power up will come because of his death...his final words him apologizing/believing in her....the point of despair maybe giving her power....as say the way to awaken a true Byakugan would be gentle people....basically one who has extreme power, but doesn't want to use it....completing a sense of Yin-Yang :p

But I hope so!!!
