Okay well I have a theory I wanted to run by you then you know how the byakugan see Chaka and expel chakra . You remember when Itachi and Sasuke got caught in a genjutus they both use genjutsu on themselves to get out so isn't it possible for a hyuga to use the same method they can use chakra from their body to block genjutus

Ootsutsuki are definitely involved + Mitsuki's name has Tsuki in it which means moon. Maybe the dojutsu Bolt has is ootsutsuki dojutsu and assuming that Mitsuki is related to Toneri he is trying to awaken his own?
They also had branch system (ootsutsuki). Obvious Hyuga are cadet branch. Bolt might have superior dojutsu which only three main branch can have. And Mitsuki being from upper branch wonders why can't he do it (use dojutsu) i when Bolt can.
It could like Neji's and Hinata's case.

Well the hyuga are known to be the mastery of tenketsu so I think they are capable of dispelling genjutsu.
The ootsutski have Main/Branch families as well. Remember Toneri comes from the branch side plus he no longer has his set of eyes so it's possible that Orochimaru implanted some eyes on Mitsuki and maybe activate some byakugan variation when he go on to sage mode. I mean shouldn't it be obvious that Boruto eyes is superior because he is the lineage of the Main Family whereas Mitsuki derived from the branch assuming it's toneri clone dna.

I'd think so, but I don't really care for such things when Byakugan can block Genjutsu by closing one's eye lids to begin with.

BTW did you guys watch koe no katchi? You should if you haven't it was really beautiful and made me cry at some parts. It broke record of all the anime movies until now.
