You didn't watch filler? It was focused on Neji's childhood. In the manga yes Neji and Hinata's mom were not even shown once. Not like Hinata and Neji were shown much.

Yeah, it's weird they chose to focus on Iruka a lot, but I'm fine with it, since he barely got any screen time in the manga, so he needs it. I was hoping to actually see everyone celebrating the wedding, but its whatever.

Yep, that was his bird summoning. It was congratulating Naruto on his wedding, no mention of Sakura.
