Uncle x Nephew is just weird. Then again, I don't really know how incarnation works so ...

Ashura and Indra being Naruto and Sasuke's previous lives is damage control over failing to properly develop a bond between them. But how exactly would Naruto be more like Indra and Sasuke like Ashura?

Ashura

-Didn't inherit the strong chakra genes of one of his parents.
-Awaken his power through suffering.
-Trained hard to catch up to his brother.
-Replied on the help of others.

Indra

-Inherited the strong chakra genes of his parents.

Naruto

-According to Kushina you need to be born with strong chakra to properly host Kurama. As shown by Minato who said half of his chakra was too heavy, but his infant son can handle it. Kurama even said that the having Kushina's blood was the reason why Naruto can control his power.

So Naruto was born with the strong chakra genes of one of his parents, unlike Ashura. Kishi seem to forgot about this as Hagoromo states that Naruto is just like Ashura in this case.:|

Sasuke

-Awakened his Sharingan and MS through suffering. The former because Itachi killed his clan and the latter after seeing Itachi die.
-In flashbacks he is shown training hard to caught up to his brother, Itachi. Especially after Itachi killed his clan.
-Sasuke relied on the help of others through out the entire series(Team 7 and Team Hawk). In part 1 he supported teamwork, iirc.

As you can see this parallel is utter joke.

Nope, there is no such thing as "Draw" it's either curbstomp or low-diff, anything else is debatable and won't end until a result is shown

But you are right, Sasuke and Naruto aren't much alike their counterparts besides ideology, power/love.

I recall Sasuke sucking major balls and training years to learn fireball justu with skill.

Yes, but his charka wasn't strong from the get-go unlike Naruto. Ashura's power was stated to increase through suffering, this wasn't stated to be the case with Indra but rather the opposite.

This is by far the worse parallel Kishi ever came up with. It was just a forced and failed attempt to give Naruto vs Sasuke some meaning. As well as trying to revive the Hardwork vs Natural talent theme that was alway a dud, even in part 1. Guy is so pretentious...

I feel that this parallel is one of the biggest plot holes ever. Kishi establishes a few times that Naruto was born with strong chakra genes from his mother. But when the Sage appears Kishi apparently wants us to believe that Naruto didn't inherit his parents strong chakra genes....Like are you fúcking kidding me? Either Kishi is insulting our intelligence or he is a moron.

Well people are born with strength in a way(KKGs and strong chakra genes to host tailed beast). It's just that pretty much everyone trains hard, including those with special genetics. And people with no special genetics lost to those who have them most of time, even in part 1(Rock Lee).

Sounds cool! I like it more than the stupid constant versus threats they get.

Sakura fighting alongside with Hinata won;t change anything to the Vs matchup, there will always be flamewar only to get what they desire. People in this community are just full of denial and will find anything to downplay anything positive about either of these character without credits are given. It goes either of the route. If one of the character did something more impressive than the other through teamwork, people will obviously look something to hate.
