Looks like the same 2 tuts used 6 times, so I can't really offer up CnC. If they are your c4ds and brushes, good job. If they are not, then all I see is some basic filter work. Over all, the style has been done too much for me to pay much attention anymore, especially on the first 3.

Second sig, the render does not work at all with the bg.

Third sig has good lighting.

Keep up the good work.

i think around 10 people, including myself have sucessfully tried it..
i dont think u have seen all of those 10 outcomes, so how can you say it has been done too much?

Yes the style has been done to death, people were doing that crap on sigoftheweek.com and that site hasn't existed for the last 2 years.
I do rather enjoy how you admit copying someone elses style though(even if you got the originator wrong), after tuting your horn about not following tutorials. So you don't follow tuts to copy people...you just copy people. Oh, thrilling.

While it is oh-so-original how you drop c4ds randomly on a bg, I'd like to see you actually make something. Try making a sig that tells a story, that has some action or emotion taking place. Then I can give more CnC than "seen that before." Or just keep slapping around the abstract and pretend that it takes design knowledge to do something random. No skin off my nose.

Not true at all. If you are capable of making those sigs you posted, you have the understanding necessary to start experimenting with your own style. You should give yourself more credit.

Your sigs may be trite, but you show a very good understanding of lighting and blending. I'd like to see you try something completely of your own mind. You may be surprised at how quickly you grow when you are not trying to be someone else.:hug:

You cannot create a new style, every single sig you make, no matter tutorial or style of create or use, someone, somewhere has already thought of that style before you got a chance to finish it. You cannot be your own in photoshop, there is ALWAYS someone that has created a style before you. Please show all of us here by making your own style that none of us have seen before.

This is like saying: "you cannot think your own thoughts, because no matter what you think, someone has already thought it somewhere else." That is just a cop out for never thinking. There is an obvious difference between thinking for yourself and quoting a book. In the same way, there is an obvious difference between purposely copying someone's style and opening photoshop and making something that appeals to you on a personal level. Some people don't learn faster by doing things on their own. Everyone needs training, some more than others, some keep the training because it's more beneficial to them than if they worked alone. You said if something is appealing to you copy it, or try to make your own thing that could be appealing. If he copies it, then it's appealing to him and he likes it. Then why is there a need to try something on his own, he might like it or he might not like it as it wont be the same as his previous style.
I was merely saying that if it was appealing and he copied it, whats the point of trying to make it yourself. You have the tutorial and the directions on how to make the things that appeal to you, why not take them instead of doing it on your own and disliking the results.

4,5,6 are actually sigs, which i just made without getting any ideas from other sigs..
And still, i think there were already sigs like these somewhere..

I think I've seen a few, but none worth remembering. You did a good job on those, your idea of having the c4ds light the character worked out nicely.
