Well I know it means Copy Wheel.

It has numerous abilities...I'll try and list as many as I can from memory.

Hynotizing - Demonstrated by Kakashi vs Zabuza - 1st encounter
Memorizing - Demonstrated again in the example above. The user can basically copy any non-KG ability and Kakashi has shown so far he can copy any elemental ability too.
Muscle Memory(cant think of a better name) - The user can copy not only Jutsu's but any physical moves he see's i.e. Taijutsu - demonstrated by Sasuke vs gaara when he copied Lee's Tai techniques.
Chakra Colour(Bad name also) - I know a Sharingan user can percieve Genjutsu's easily and see the flow of chakra to predict the type of Jutsu about to be used i.e. katon chakra etc.
Perception - The user can percieve the future almost by his opponents muscles, eyes, movement and predict where they will strike and how they will move - demonstrated when Sasuke fought naruto at VTE and activated 3 tomoe.

emm....I also know the Sharingan can only be awoken at a time of great stress or emotional pain.
