Akatsuki name significance

I know akatsuki means daybreak, which was supposed to refer to Yahiko's hope to bring the sun back to the rain village, but Madara supposedly encouraged him to form it, so he could have significance with the name as well.

It's akatsuki:

aka + tsuki = red moon

Could red moon refer to madara's plan to cast his tsukuyomi onto the moon?

The moon with infinite tsukuyomi has been depicted as red, like the sharingan:
