This is nothing at all like what my post says. I did not say the lock of hair was his scar. I would love for you to show me where I said Shanks had the scar in that panel. Because what I said in actuality was that Shanks' face was obscured by his hair and his hat, meaning that the possibility exists that his scar could have been there, but we just aren't seeing it. There is no proof that Shanks got the scar after becoming an Emperor.
Your argument relies on the fact that Mihawk didn't land any scars on Shanks' face, even though Shanks himself says that he has countless scars from countless adventures and implies he got some of those scars from Mihawk. Your argument also relies on Shanks being an Emperor when Blackbeard gave him the scar. But this doesn't make sense with what we've been given in the story.

] There is absolutely no way that your argument of Blackbeard gave Shanks a wound that even Mihawk, the man Shanks has legendary duels with, can hold up with the FACT that Blackbeard avoided making a name for himself. If Blackbeard did something to Shanks that Mihawk couldn't do, with Mihawk being Shanks' rival, especially if Shanks was an Emperor at the time, then Blackbeard would have ended up making a name for himself. The fact that Blackbeard purposefully avoided doing anything to make himself famous disproves that he gave Shanks that scar while Red-Hair was an Emperor and after his duel with Mihawk became legendary. It makes way more sense that he did it to Shanks when Shanks was still a rookie apprentice because that is the only way he could have done it and maintained his attempts to avoid becoming famous.
This argument also falls apart. You're implying that Shanks explaining to Whitebeard how he got the scar means that Whitebeard doesn't know how he got it, and you're presenting this as proof that Shanks didn't get it at any point that Roger's crew fought Whitebeard's. However, Shanks also takes the time during this conversation to explain to Whitebeard that Teach remained in his shadow and didn't make himself famous, something Whitebeard DOES already know.
