That was one of his only attacks landed though it was a deadly blow im going to give him grace for that. Kizaru was just toying imagine if he had intent to kill.

IMO WB commanders are more overrated than Akainu. This dude canonically proved that he can go against all of WB commanders at the same time. I can't see Marco and Vista beating him.

Exactly this. I don't know how Sakazuki managed to evade their attacks, but a fully healthy (mentally and physically, not suffering from the trauma of both Aces and Whitebeards deaths) tag team of Marco (whom can easily hold his own against an Admiral (like Sabo, but stronger)) and Vista (who could hold his own against Mihawk (arguably Admiral tier), putting him on a similar level to the likes of Marco).
I doubt even Whitebeard could've fought both of them at the same time and win. (IF they have their heads in the right places)
People always seem to forget Akainu had half the marines as back-up against the commanders. He never took them all on his own and he definitely can't when we've already seen his close to equal(Kuzan) fighting on par with Jozu alone(granted for a short while but still...) and we know for a fact that Marco is stronger than him, so let alone Marco backed-up with someone as strong as Vista to boot. The duo takes this but it would after a long struggle though

1. Akainu was actually isolated from the other Marines due to the fact that he jumped into the bay, while everyone else was on the platforms for the most part. They came down later, but he was by himself for a large amount of time. You also have no proof that the other marines aided him against the commanders.

It's not what Oda said. Oda said if someone as strong as Akainu were the protagonist of this manga, One Piece would have ended in a year and he was obviously right considering the protagonist it would be like East Blue Luffy starting as strong as MarineFord Akainu, beneficiating of his huge amount of plot(as the main protagonist), huge amount of allies he finds from places to places, develops on crazy steps going from islands to islands(Luffy came from struggling to Arlong to defeat 2 Shichibukais in less than a year, so let alone if someone as strong as Akainu were to develop at Luffy's pace). If with all this, someone as strong as Akainu were still not able to find One Piece, it would be disappointing
No, quickly after Akainu faced the commanders, we see the marines coming and later we see WB commanders surrounded by half marines in marineford. You think they were just watching?
