I agree with you here op. His hate comes from malice, not a shaky background and pedo intent, and he's not actually enjoyed like Aizen.

Very few people like him.

Even though we never got Doffy's flashback or even finished the arc, I still disagree.
From what we know so far, Doflamingo started becoming evil after he lost his mother. In my opinion, that's not a very powerful reason. That type of reasoning is generic since been done many times in fiction. Hell, Orochimaru and Nagato turned evil because of the same exact reason.

I like Arlong's physcological process because it was different. At first, Arlong was just the average typical Fishman who hated humans simply because of all the discrimination that the race has been through. But what really pushed Arlong into the dark side was the fact that Fisher Tiger demanded that Arlong try to cooperate with humans right before Fisher Tiger died of blood loss. FT could have survived, but he still refused to intake a humans blood. At the end, Fisher Tiger could not accept humans. But he still demanded that the Fishman try and make peace with the humans. Arlong could not accept that, which was what drove Arlong mad for revenge. And then later on, Arlong hit absolute rock bottom when even Jinbe advocated to follow Fisher Tiger's final orders.

His trauma is just so complex. Much deeper than simply losing a parent. His trauma is also ironic because just when the Fishman Pirates thought that there was hope of their race to be able to coincide with humans (the Koala experience), humans end up pissing them off even more. The use of irony was great with Fishman, it's basically Togashi level in use of irony. Meruem thought that he could change the world with all these specifications and borders etc., but Netero knew deep down that this young ant knows absolutely nothing of the world.

And I highly doubt that we will see Doffy's flashback in Dressrosa. Arlong is the only villain to ever get a real backstory, and Oda waited all the way to Fishman Island to finally reveal it.

& you get a bigger feeling of danger from him than Croc.
did not see this comment above sorry

anyways, I disagree.

Doflamingo nearly killed Law, who is only a supporting character. Croc nearly killed the main character twice. See the weight difference? Also, Doflamingo sets up a birdcage on the island, big whoop. Crocodile engulfed an entire CONTINENT in drought using his devil fruit.

My fav villains in manga are the WG because, well, for starters they aren't really villains if viewed objectively, were introduced as the good guys working for the people of the One Piece world, the organization that unites them and brings them security

But slowly we are getting to know the corruption within, many ideologies that reach the extreme on both sides of justice, there are many people in it that are truly good, some that are willing to go too far to achieve what they call justice and (I assume) some that are corrupt and leading the WG which is what ultimately makes them a villainous group

It is not a small group of villains (like akatsuki or phantom troupe) they are the most powerful organization in the world, spanning 900 years and the entire world, and they are not just simply the villain, they simply do what is necessary to maintain their power and enforce their politics, which they do successfully given that moat of the world welcomes them

I could write an essay about it XD

BS, all we know is that he lost his mother at the age of 8 & killed his father when he was 11. You're assuming a lot if you think that losing his mother was the sole reason why he became "evil". Nagato was a good villain, he just had a terrible end to his character which made him disliked by most people. It was a missed opportunity.

Again, you don't know about Doflamingo's past. It obviously plays a huge role to his character since we've gotten so many hints about it & even Vergo warned Law about it. Arlong never posed as a threat to Luffy or the SH's in general (aside from Nami). Luffy was able to defeat him by himself. Look at Doflamingo, he would of killed the SH's (Sanji/Nami/Brook/Chopper & Momo.) if law hadn't intervened. He posed a threat to not only the captain (Luffy) but the SH crew as well. Not only is Doflamingo strong but he's intelligent/manipulative, by strategically setting up a tournament with the MMnM as the prize to separate the captain from the crew. His influence to fool the world by lying that he dropped his status as shichibukai just so he can trick the SH's. He even has an admiral in his control pretty much (for the time being that is). Taking over Dressrosa, by controlling king riku & killing his own citizens, etc. There's so much more to Doflamingo than what Arlong has to offer. It seems like you're solely using physiological process as your main reason to claim that Doflamingo sucks compared to Arlong which is just weak reasoning.

We may get Doflamingo's flashback tied in with Law's backstory, so I'd say it's possible seeing how we've been teased a couple of times during this arc.

Doflamingo posed a threat to SH crew & Luffy. The SH crew had to retreat because of Doflamingo. :l LOL, it really seems like you're downplaying Doflamingo too much here. He has the entire island in his control by using birdcage.

One of the many things that makes Akainu so unique as a villain is that he's extremely ambiguous. Don't know much about Aizen but Obito is pretty much evil all the way.

I feel like im one of the 2 people in this world who likes Akainu although he killed my fav.

Btw this thread is invalid.

Madara Uchiha>all the villains in the big 3.

Also, Doflamingo>Akainu.

Yes, Akainu is a cool little badass villain but thats where it ends. Theres nothing to him, he's just a crazy government dog (inu) that does everything he's told. He isn't a deeply developed character like Madara or Doflamingo. Hell, Oda himself stated that he was planning to get Akainu killed at Marineford by Whitebeard.

Now about Bleach villains ...lmao. They're all practically the same character with a different hairstyle. Bleach villains cant compete with Madara and Doflamingo . Lord Aizen-sama was cool but even he was kinda bland.

Lord Madara and his pupil Lawd Doflamingo>All big 3 villains.
