In battle i would use this to quickly block my opponents vision allowing me to quickly strike. Along with this justu i would use a justu that requires no handseals. To take advantage of my opponents blindness before he can counter. Stuff like Earth spikes, and my personal favorite lightning arrow step(Kumogakure custom) which allows me to travel quickly and strike in the same motion.

I would use this jutsu in short range. While my opponent is busy with it, I would use some taijutsu. The opponent could mistake this as the body flicker making it hard to figure out it's a gen. In battle, I would use it along with some taijutsu in short range. The petals mask my movement so I could always mask the use of hand seals.

Remember the petals aren't real, so once the genjutsu is dispelled, so are the petals. He is blinded only when the petals block his eyes. The petals also suddenly appearing a key for figuring out it's a genjutsu.

So what you are doing here is altering your enemies perception of what the paper bomb is. (A paper bomb is just a small ball of explosive tags) He will see a clone of you approaching, instead of the bombs. When near, explode the bomb.

You have some free reign in this technique, like how many clones appear or where they do come from. You can make these clones wield kunai and the like to make it seem more real.

Hiding in mist would be a great technique to combo it with. Also, good point about the number of clones. ^^

Perform the hand seals, and then create a vortex of leaves that surround the opponent. After the swirl dies down, the opponent sees their worst fear in front of them, causing them to faint or become disoriented. Aside from your normal response, how would your battle terrain affect the technique?

Well the genjutsu says "a swirl of leaves" so it would be obvious if this was a gen if you we're fighting in a desert or like the middle of the ocean. I quickly turn towards bush as I send my chakra into the air before us. I then condense the chakra causing a thick group of ground level clouds to from on the battlefield before us. Blocking your vision and making it hard for you to breath. Still weary of your location Anakin sends chakra into your chakra flow, causing you to see multiple clones come from the grounds around you(which you can't see because of the clouds) and begin rushing at you.

He sees some leaves swirl around him, and as they fade away he sees his worst fear...The Kool-Aid man!-

I simply preform one handseal and cause my chakra to stop then suddenly spike freeing me from the illusion.
