Alright, Mr. Bush and Ciberr, genjutsu it is. No previous training means you are both starting from scratch. Before we start, both of you answer these questions. >_> Copy and paste and I end your miserable lives.
- What is genjutsu?
- What are its battle uses in our RP?
- What the ways to release yourself from a genjutsu?

Genjustu is the nartuoverses mind tricks. Or altering of the mind. The user will send chakra into his opponents system with or without eye contact. Allowing them to create an illusion in his or her opponents mind. Varying from seeing a fake fireball to blinding his opponent genjustu is very versatile as it causes mental stress on the brain as well as leaving the victim open to other attacks.In our RP we use it just like in the naruto verse. We use it to leave our opponent unable to defend from the attack at hand as well as getting a good laugh lol. Releasing yourself from a genjustu can be done in a few ways.
1)Use kai. Which is a large spike of chakra I think.
2)Cause a large amount of pain to yourself, like biting your tongue or biting it off if needed.
3)Surges of chakra like curse mark activation,added weight justu, nagashi, or other things like that.

Genjutsu is the process of inserting chakra into your opponent's mind, and affecting one or more of there 5 senses. It is part of the Yin release. The uchiha can put you in gen through eye contact.
In our RP I think it can be used as a supplement to elemental attacks. If your opponent is dealing with it, then you can follow it up with some other jutsu.

Bush had something critical that you didn't. Before you can deliberately escape from a genjutsu, you have to know you are in one. A logical deduction of the strangeness or a hypothesis is critical.
A Kai is a temporary stop in your chakra, where you then flood your system with stronger chakra than the genjutsu inside of you to flush it out.
Don't ever bite off your tongue. >_> You will usually die from the blood loss, or will be effected more than you thought you would be.
Between the both of you, you guys have a good overall answer. However both of you failed to mention hand seals, which are a big part. Many times if the effect of your genjutsu is delayed, your opponent will say something like..
"The strangeness of the environment combined with the fact that I saw you perform hand seals earlier without attacking me directly makes me think this may be a genjutsu.. blah blah.."
This happens in the RP, and is a possible way out. Questions/Comments/Concerns?

The rule for escaping genjutsu with is an elemental technique is that it will only release up to one rank below itself..
So for example, Nagashi is A-ranked, it'll release up to B-rank genjutsu. Also, you guys are more than welcome to try and answer a question the other person asks on your reply. That way, if you are misinformed or confused on a subject, you will hopefully be corrected. With that said, ready to move on?

Alright, my personal belief is that genjutsu is basically worthless to explain how you do it. It is basically the same process over and over. So, we will be focusing on battle uses mainly.
( Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu ) - Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique

Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10 (+5 if you use it double)

Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.
This technique changes/adds/removes a feature on the terrain you are currently standing on. Effective, since it goes up to a mid-range distance. So, how would you use this in battle, or what technique would you use it with? Give one answer for each question please. ^^ questions are welcome.
Alright will for this justu its range is good. Mid range is where most battles take place so that being said its always good to have at least mid range for justu's. In a battle if I were to shoot a fireball at my opponent i could cast the justu as to where there will be trees and giant rocks to my opponents sides. This would force him to resort to go head on with my fireball or jump into the air. Where he will be easily killed.
This jutsu is really cool, even if a bit simple. A lot of jutsu in the jutsu list change the enviorment so it would be difficult to judge if this is a gen. I would use this jutsu in combination with the nara clan jutsu. I could make it appear as if my shadow was no where near, when in fact it was closing in. I would use this jutsu primarily to supplement other jutsu, or to cause distractions.

Making trees that sudden is a good way for your opponent to figure out he is in a genjutsu.
Suddenly, both of you see a small pond appear out of nowhere on the battlefield.
You have both been placed in the genjutsu we learned. Now I want you to logically describe how you know you are in a genjutsu. Then I want you to perform a hand seal, stopping your chakra. Spike it quickly after, to flush my foreign chakra from your system.
I see a small, pond appear out of nowhere. Not seeing you make any handseals, and seeing a pond simply appear without indication leads me to believe that it is a genjutsu. I make a single handseal, and stop the flow of my chakra. I then suddenly and quickly spike it causing the foreign chakra to leave my body.

As the pond appears out of nowhere with no indication of such happening from you, or the terrain itself it leads me to believe that it is a genjustu in which the terrain is being altered of some sort. With the formation of a single handseal I stop the circulation of my chakra system, then suddenly cause it to spike pushing the foreign chakra out of my body.

The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. Description: The user makes five handseals, appearing to dissolve into a shower of cherry blossom petals. These petals surround the opponent, blocking his vision. This allows the user to mask his movement effectively.
Do the hand seals, and you will make your opponent see you dissolve into pink flower petals. Rather simple, you can move around while they block his sight. So, how would you use this in battle, or what technique would you use it with? Give one answer for each question please. Continue to do this for every technique as well.
In battle i would use this to quickly block my opponents vision allowing me to quickly strike. Along with this justu i would use a justu that requires no handseals. To take advantage of my opponents blindness before he can counter. Stuff like Earth spikes, and my personal favorite lightning arrow step(Kumogakure custom) which allows me to travel quickly and strike in the same motion.
I would use this jutsu in short range. While my opponent is busy with it, I would use some taijutsu. The opponent could mistake this as the body flicker making it hard to figure out it's a gen. In battle, I would use it along with some taijutsu in short range. The petals mask my movement so I could always mask the use of hand seals.
