I noticed, that there is still confusion about the age cap between some characters.
I want to explain, what is correct and what is incorrect
Databook says:
Kakashi grad age=5
Kakashi chunin=6
Obito grad age=9
Obito chunin=11
Rin grad age =9
Rin chunin=11
Gai grad age=7
Gai chunin=11
Hayate grad age=12
Hayate chunin=13
Anko grad age=10
Anko chunin=12
Ibiki grad age=10
Ibiki chunin=15
What does this mean?
It means that Kakashi became a chunin in the first chunin exam he took, right after the academy and that Rin and Obito, who took it together with him (as seen in the manga) didnt become one. Obito and Rin became chunins in the next year.
Obito died(was assumed dead) at 13-14, the year that Kakashi became a jounin.
That means Kakashi has become a jounin at ~10 years old, cause he is 3-4 years younger than Obito (ignore the wiki, of kakashi becoming a jounin at age 13, it is wrong).
Gai.
Kakashi is 29-30 right now and for Gai its 30. This is correct, seeing Gai his birthday is in january and Kakashi his birthday is in september. This could mean that Gai will turn 31, when Kakashi is still 29. Giving a 2 years difference.
Gai graduated the academy at age 7 and Kakashi did at age 5. They both took the chunin exam that year (makes you wonder why they call Gai a dropout, when he graduated at age 7, but that is a different topic).
This fits perfectly fine with their current age gaps as adults.
Hayate, Anko and Ibiki=wrong:
Hayate.
Hayate died at age 23 in part 1 (kakashi was 26-27 in part 1). This would mean that Hayate is 3 years younger than Kakashi right?
Hayate graduated the academy at age 12 and became a chunin at age 13.
This data cannot be correct, since he fought vs Kakashi, Obito and Rin in the chunin exam.
He is 7 years older than Kakashi and this means that Hayate should have died at age 30.
If it is correct that he died when he was 23 in part 1, than this would mean that he was 1-2 years old, when he took the chunin exam. He would be 3-4 years younger than Kakashi, who graduated at 5 xd. Making him 1-2 years old when he graduated and took the chunin exam. Maybe he used diaper attack?
I think we can all agree that, that has to be a load of bull
, so Hayate must have died at age 30 or both graduation age and year of death are both wrong.
Anko .
Anko her statistics are incorrect as well.
Anko is currently 24(and this is not part 1 anymore).
She took the same chunin exam, that Kakashi, Obito and Rin took.
She graduated at age 10 and became a chunin at age 11.
This is impossible. Kakashi is 29-30 atm and graduated at age 5 and became a chunin at age 6.
Anko would be 5-6 years younger than Kakashi, if she is 24 atm. That would mean she graduated and took the chunin exam in about the year that she was born xd. Impossible
. This means that Anko should be 34-35 right now, cause she is 5 years older than kakashi(Anko graduated at 10), or her graduation age is not correct.
Ibiki.
The same applies to Ibiki, who graduated at age 10 as well, took the same chunin exam that Kakashi took and Ibiki is said to be 31 atm. This has to be 34-35 or his graduation age should be different.
This guy took quite some years before he became a chunin at age 15, for someone who graduated at age 10.
I hope this clears it up
.
Thanks for reading.
