Some say it's just a number to pass by
But I think we need to respect age
It's different for everyone, I don't know why
But it's not simply another turn of the page
Some also say that age =s maturity
This is true only rarely
Maturity does not breed insecurity
Many people still worry about being judged fairly
Maturity is like age in the fact that it's not a claim
You can't lie because like your age, it shows
Your actions are like your looks but not always the same
They both display facts but not always in the same pose
So chase your hopes & dreams
But don't forget to learn from your mistakes
Keep your word for it needs to be as it seems
People forgive mistakes but always hate fakes
Age isn't just a number you change on your birthday
Respect it as the fact that it will always remain
Don't judge others for their differences on any day
Time forever passes you by and things will never be the same
