I agree with the majority of Anubis's comments. Also, from what I've seen, a lot of people look down on men who is dating really young women.

Anyways, I think as long as one is an adult, the age gap doesn't matter. I leave it to that person's personal happiness and circumstance. Also, I wonder where you live. I know in my state (Indiana), the legal age of consent is 16. That's a no strings attached by the away (in some states, ages below 18 requires a small age gap), meaning a 16 year old here can date an 80 year old if they wanted to. There is just one exception though, the adult cannot be in an authoritative position (so no teachers for example). You say 9th grade, which has me guessing 14, 15, maybe 16.
