The Ember is composed of the souls of the Shaman of Nilfheim. The souls of these pure existences produce a tremendous amount of power, and where there is power there r ppl that would try to duplicate it. I am Nil, the scientist of Nilfheim's failed attempt at creating a second Ember by sacrificing thousands of those taken captives during their endless wars. Sadly however the sacrificed souls only produced a gross amount of impurities, what more any negative emotions only serve as my fuel.

If that weren't bad enough I was condemned to that cell for thousands of years. You truly have my thanks for releasing me. "

(Suddenly things go silent. Ophelia sees that the cloud of impurities have been parted and a gaping slash wound appeared on Nil. Taki with sword in hand jumps into Ophelia's office grabbing Ophelia)

Taki:"Hold on!"
(Taki taking Ophelia leaped out of the building and onto the ground below escaping Nil's grasp)

(Suddenly things go silent. Ophelia sees that the cloud of impurities have been parted and a gaping slash wound appeared on Nil. Taki with sword in hand jumps into Ophelia's office grabbing Ophelia)

(Taki taking Ophelia leaped out of the building and onto the ground below escaping Nil's grasp)

(Taki runs along with her, and Ophelia Taki and Adam speed away in Ophelia's buggy and in the rearview mirror Ophelia can see her loft crumbling to pieces from Nil's impurities)
