B. And yet Gaara could block 4 V3 susanoo swords from Madara with his gourd's sand. Imagine what he can do with, say, the same amount of sand he used against Kimmimaro and Deidera.

It's filler.

The anime team is very bad at portraying the power of characters.

All of a sudden Gaara, Neji, Lee, and others look weaker than their early part 1 self, its ridiculous.

A random filler character can all of a sudden tank Neji's 64 palms with his bare arms, 1 block, no impact or push back or anything, its like Neji's ultimate attack is something you and I can do.

and for some reason quicksand is something so dangerous now, lol wtf even I can get out of that stuff no probs.

Everyone looks so nerfed, its like I'm not even watching Naruto, the fillers are so inconsistent.

Funny thing is in a few weeks time when we go back to canon we will go back to the mountain busting feats and extreme speeds, and very soon Madara will become a Juubi Jin and start throwing mountain-range sized meteors while the super powered up naruto and Sasuke bust them and cut them up like water balloons and butter. smh.

But he's had some rather severe disavantages, no? Well, he was insane. Had a pretty sh*tty childhood that was arguably (significantly) worse than Naruto's.
Then he was made Kage at a ridiculously young age (after Daddy snuffed it) - in a time of peace, he can't (realistically) have had much field time. And those who crossed him generally posed zero threat to his sand so he lacked development/growth from these encounters.

Stuck in that village, with all those Suna Elders and a sh*tty Diamyo giving all their work away to others shinobi - not to mention all the paperwork and fangirls who squeal "Gara-sama!" like he's the new Sasuke-kuuuuuuuun.
... kind of pity the kid, y'know?

Also, pretty unfair to compare him to the other Kage - point blank, off the performance of one battle against a ridiculous opponent like Madara Uchiha.

His strength like Naruto, is in that spanky talk-no-jutsu he occasionally displays.
Rather forward thinking for a Kage (of Suna no less) to be committed to ties with other villages, uniting and forgetting past grievances etc.

That's what I'm disagreeing with... It was not enough against someone like Madara. What was that moment when Onoki had to add rock into Gaara's sand to make up for the defense against Madaras attack...
