He can't beat her any other way than attempting to eat her. The manga was show casing Katsuya's famous ability to divide which gives her the edge over a snakes ability to paralyze and consume their prey.

Which is why snakes will always have the edge over the Toad whereas they can't do that to Katsuya. Anyone trying to wank Manda over katsuya is just a huge ...well wank tbh

No, it is actually your opinion.
Manda is using solely physical attacks, he wanted to crush Katsuyu's body using force and he failed terribly because she escaped. Bunta did nothing that saved her, he saved Tsunade from getting eaten.
