Minato didn't have this demeanor. He emanated a more calmly caring side than nonchalant and monosyllabic.

This Naruto is like Boruto when he's pissed with his dad, and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of that Boruto as the series gets darker.

LOL, how's he going to be like then? Quite sure Boruto won't be this jovial and ingratiating when he faces insurmountable odds and unrelenting adversity. It's stated that his eye will bring misfortune, especially to those around him.

Seeing how he's vulnerable and vehement, he won't be this Boruto for long, and will go through a cataclysmic metamorphisis.

I believe that will inevitably conceive a new side to Boruto that is very different from the one we've thus far witnessed.

Well, that is not the focal point of this thread. Regardless, it's conspicuous that Boruto will not look like this. But as per his time skip self, he does seem to have the same melancholic vibe we get from this Naruto. His eyes are narrowed and has a contemplative look. But that is just my opinion.

I never said he would be a carbon copy. That's not what I implied. Also, do you know what gutsy means? Sasuke is also gutsy in case you know. When someone is pronounced as gutsy, he shows a lot of courage, determination and spirit. Boruto in my books perfectly meets that criteria.

That Naruto is also calm as well, so I don't see the disagreement?

As a full grown adult, he won't be like that of course. Naruto isn't like that himself and he was whiny and talkative not so long ago.

But I'm not sure as a young adult, in his early 20's that is.

No he wasn't but it's tough to gauge personality from these pics, just with that Kunai he reminds me of Minato before a battle though he has a bit of a Shika "this is a drag" face. I was originally gonna say he looks like Minato but stands like Kakashi but looking at his face he looks kind of annoyed like Sasuke or Shikamaru.

"Gutsy Naruto" was about as vanilla as you could get. Boruto is already more interesting than him and well-developed/better designed as a kid, his older self from the Kawaki scene goes even further. The "future Boruto" looks like he bears grievances and shoulders a great weight, in stark contrast to the flat hero cliche of the Naruto in Jiraiya's first novel.
