Either he was fired or the speech is a fabrication against him and he didn't say that. They couldn't have just ignored ehat he said, so it's one of the two I stated

We both know you are in denial. Answer me honestly. .. do you think a white male professor who said all blacks must die would still be employed at harvard?

Probably not. But that's because the history of America involves heavy persecution of black people by white people, the backlash of a white person making such commentary will be greater than a black person doing so.

Racism on all counts is bad, don't get me wrong. But in America, white people are the ones who can least afford to say something racist. Bronze has a point, white people in America weren't persecuted by other races like they did to others, so they're the last people in America who should be making racist commentary. That history causes people to be angrier when a white person says something racist than when a black person does. Granted, I believe all racist commentary should be punished equally. But your OP implies there is some universal bias that always happens, but that's not the case. There does exist a lingering bias, but there are people who are capable of and do look past it. You consider this academic bias when it could simply be a case of academic incompetence of those in charge or an overreaction.

Nothing is universal. There being a bias at all is just a tool to silence white males

Black people suffered persecution for centuries by white people and still do. If there is a racial comment from a black person toward the white race, then it is justified under historical period of slavery. White people need to spiritually and physically feel what racism is.

Everybody somewhere at some point has felt persecuted. The Irish and Italians were persecuted upon arrival in America by the British, French, German and Spanish settlers here before them. The Jewish population deals with racist and bigoted remarks all the time. A lot of people make this same dumb mistake when talking, they lump "white" people up into one group and then attack "whites" for doing the same thing to them.

Oh and the idea that races blame other races for their troubles is odd. Yes I know a lot of countries were kept down under the ruling forces, which happened to end up being white skinned, but at some point every group of people had more or less the same chance to climb to the top of the ladder. I know this may sound racist to some but there is a pecking order to nature and by whatever means it seems the "whites" were able to reach it first. Now of course when I say "white" it's really the Anglo-Saxon heritage as they were the primary civilization in regards to expansion. Honestly Asians probably could have done it, then we'd all be having "Yellow Privelege" discussions, but China and other great Asian empires were content with stabilizing and dominating their area, they didn't consider expanding.

First sorry to the mods for the double post

@bold - I agree that they weren't persecuted by other races as much but whites were persecuted by other whites nearly as bad without being enslaved. People use white too much as an all encompassing term and seem to ignore there are separations amongst the "whites". In the early days of America British and French whites treated Irish and Italian whites very poorly. The Irish I know more about than the Italians, and I know Irish were likened to the blacks in society at that point had slurs directed at them regularly even being called green n****. They were segregated and forced to live, shop, work etc together with little interaction with the "more civilized" British and what interaction they did have was usually came with disdain from the British.

This argument keeps bringing up white people this white people that, I think we need to call it for what it is, the ancestors of the British Empire, that's the white people everyone means when they talk about this but everyone just wants to lump all the white people into one big group. Ironic in a way isn't it.

There are many conservative universities, bud. some you might be interested in. Also there are a few prestigious colleges that teach, what would be considered, conservative economics, the University of Chicago being one of them. But let's be honest here. Conservative economics (especially on the libertarian side) is on the fringe of mainstream economics at this point.

How much of this is affecting you on a personal level? If it's stopping you in life then move, US population is only 5% of the world. Not everyone is as rotten as them.

Because this is still happening.

In the two years after the Booker ruling, sentences of blacks were on average 15.2% longer than the sentences of similarly situated whites, according to the Sentencing Commission report. Between December 2007 and September 2011, the most recent period covered in the report, sentences of black males were 19.5% longer than those for whites. The analysis also found that black males were 25% less likely than whites in the same period to receive a sentence below the guidelines' range.

When blacks are no longer being treated like we're a different species and race no longer matters in society, maybe you'll understand why liberals will crucify a white man for saying some racist shit and not a black woman for saying some racist shit.

If you can justify being racist because others are racist then you are a hypocrite. I'm perfectly fine with there being all out racial hatred as long as we're not being hypocritical. And blacks are more likely to be repeat offenders because of their poverty. It's a known fact that the poor commit more crime and blacks are well represented in thst area. Not to mention poor whites get greater sentences than affluent whites

I didn't justify the racism. I understand her perspective because I come from a background of family members that think whites are horrible people(The racist ones at least).

The statistic comes from similarly situated crimes. Meaning if the black was a repeat offender, so was the white. Your justification as to why blacks get longer sentences for similarly situated crimes means nothing. You're offering up a potential reason but the difference in minimum and maximum sentencing is not separated by race.

It is funny how the people who yelp "racism is over, get over it!" are the same people who make up a portion of the racist population.

Show me anyone saying racism is over. I believe racism will always be with us. Especially if we choose to police it in some and not others.

I actually met a lot of slaves and I understand what they go through. I will repeat it again: you're white, and you and your ancestors haven't met persecution of another race for being racially inferior; this is why you're saying ''get the hell over it''.

-Can Jews get over the holocaust? No.
-Can Indians get over the British colonisation? No.
-Can blacks get over slavery? No.

Why? Because they or their ancestors were persecuted by whites. You owe them everything.
Indians are Indo-European so they count as "white" too. Every people in the world has either been a victim or victimizer. Blacks enslaved each other and committed genocide against other "blacks" in Africa, the Japanese committed mass rape and genocide against other asians. Assyrians, Kurds, and Armenians have dealt with persecution in the near east. Jews have been oppressed by Christians and Muslims. People will find any reason to dehumanize another group, it has nothing to do with being white, brown, red, yellow, or black.
