What was the purpose of the slavery is the question. Were the Irish enslaved for greater economic productivity or for being racially inferior? Blacks were enslaved under the reason of being racially inferior. And you have not been enslaved yourself, but if you were, would you get over it? Nope.

Just because something is bias toward one political side, doesn't mean you have to be. Make your own opinion, don't let others bother you. If a school is teaching diverse thoughts, it really does show progression in my thoughts. When you generally had nothing but conservative ideals for hundreds of years, it seems like people are finally teaching other forms of politics. Students understand this too, because I don't see either political party dying out for a long time, maybe even never. Truth is, there are more people who are choosing to be in the middle now, either because they don't completely agree with either side, or they were not informed of the matter during grade school. Let them have their opinion, because you have yours, and yours is just as valuable.

And about the racism thing? I don't really see it. I think it just has to do with media portrayal of the situations. I don't believe that any side of the racist ring is being ignored, especially now in this era. Don't use a few people's opinion to generalize an entire system, it doesn't work that way in politics.
