About the manga's power scalling........

is there a good deal of strategy in part 2?

I think you are right. When people think "ninja" they mostly think kunai, swords, ninja wire, hiding in shadows, smoke bombs, etc. Not Giant fireballs, instantly prouting poisonous flower forests, meteors from the sky, etc. Albiet these are cool and considered Ninpo, I think the main issue is they are far too destructive and leave very little to strategy. Mainly the stradegy for these jutsu are:

Don't get hit by them/Throw another large scale justsu at it. Rinse and repeat.

In all honesty it isn't about the justu for me. It's the redunandcy and the sudden burst of mega powers that sprouted up in this war. How many rikudo rehashes have been on the field now? 4. that's how many. Obito, Madara, Sasuke, and Naruto.

It's pretty much lost it's charm. Is there still stratedgy? Yup sure. Is it great and epic and perfect at many of you say it is. Not in my opinion. But it helps move a very slow moving arc along.

The bold parts said it for me. The large scale of the jutsus made it stand out too much and somewhat overshadowed the little things. If the scale and power level was tone down a bit, then the strategies implemented would be more visual that the destructive scales themselves. NxM is right in a way that Part 2 still uses tricks and plans; it's just the overwhelming power levels that gets in the way.

Not trying to pick a fight, but just so you know, it's been going away from that direction ever since we've been introduced to the juubi jins.

Not at all I don't consider this a fight. I consider this you defending your stance on the manga which is great :win:

OT: I'd say slightly before then. I'd say it started going away from that direction the moment Naruto, Kakashi, Bee and Gai started fighting the edo jin. Once Naruto went Beast Mode and Madara hit the field. The writing was on the wall.

No, what I meant was, ever since the juubi jins were introduced, it's been getting back to small-scale. For instance.

Oh I see what you mean now. Yeah I've noticed that too. Once the bijuu were dealt with, The taijutsu and smaller scale jutsu started to come back to play. Barring Naruto's slicing of the Shinju Tree of course. I did like the team strategy Minato put together on the fly after just moments of meeting ninja he has never seen.

As I said the arc has it's moments. that being one of them. I look forward to seeing that in the Anime.

I can't wait for next episode! Just so you know, the war arc ended when Madara revived himself. Since then, it was juubi revival arc, and once Juubito was beaten, it became the Madara returns arc.

I prefer the power scale before certain characters got godly.

Except that doesn't even really matter as long as the fights are entertaining, and despite ascending to god level, there's still strategy.

I didn't say there wasn't. I said the power levels escalated too far too quickly for my taste.

I to this day still haven't gotten this crap about power scale change......

I mean in part 1 didn't we have a genin clearin up a forest?

Gamabunta and jiraiya doing a fire jutsu that covered atleast 10 mountains?

Itachi soloing a jounin level ninja without even trying that much...

I still don't understand how the powerscale of the series changed. When the only that happened is its gone from focusing on kids.. to focusing more on adults also.

The strategy Minato, Gaara, Kakashi and Lee used to allow Gai to hit Madara was one of my favorite strategies in the manga.

Power-scaling will change............this is a SHOUNEN!!
Whether u see DBZ, OP, Bleach, HXH....anything, its powerscaling changes continuously!!
It keeps the series fresh, otherwise u know what happened to other Ninja mangas!! U_U
People especially KIDS will soon get bored and the manga will be cancelled!!

I honestly prefer the action oriented-ness of part 2.

This was obvious to most people-only deranged idiots who don't read the manga properly thought otherwise. At the end of part 1, we were told that a valley was create from a fight between 2 men. We were always going to reach that level of power scaling.....

There were large scales of attacks far before the war arc

Nine tails Naruto vs Orochimaru for example

^ Is now small scale compared to anything that's happened lately. Madara's Fireball would have destroyed EVERYTHING in the area of that battle including the bridge, instead they tore up a little bit of forest. Also before the war still includes part 2, in part 1 the biggest jutsu were still relatively small, no one was really taking out towns and villages or mountains or God trees.
