Is that actually there? It's not some type of Kishi subliminal message right? Is it possible to have built that whole city in that time span and have advanced from chalkboards to shinos night vision goggles? I'm not bashing I'm legitimately asking if that's logical or possible.

Also, it feels like Kishi is addressing his own kid when he had naruto tell bolt to endure. When Naruto said that the people were like his family, it seemed like kishi saying that he was dedicated to serving his manga fans.

It almost seems like Kishi made the hidden leaf village like his hometown and the big city behind konoha shows how far he made it... Anyways.. What are your thoughts?

Sure, I mean look at where Pain fought Jiraiya. Also the Naruto world had simple computers back in part 1. (Its cool that Naruto is using a laptop in that chapter I might add.)

That's a good point. I guess I always pictured naruto being old school cus they mostly used swords and stuff
they've always had electricity. tv, computers, modern kitchens and those things. it was more just asian traditional buildings and way of life. their life revolved around being a ninja so they didn't have much time for technology per say. and they were in times of war.

I interpreted the city as what happens if all of the countries and villages work together, as opposed to against each other. Pooled resources, cultural exchange, technological advances, etc. The city in the back reflects the results of real world globalization.

Before the villages and countries were so secretive (as is proper for ninja I suppose) that knowing a technique from a rival village was seen as both an accomplishment (Kisame complimenting Kakashi for his usage of Kirigakure techniques in part 1) and a very viable threat (Danzo was willing to risk Fuu's health to regain the Byakugan from Ao.) Now, Tenten has Kumogakure weapons on DISPLAY in her store, and no one seems to even care. It is just a sign of the changed times and peace that have come about due to the sacrifices of many.

What do you think?

The first question should be: why was there a need for a metropolis in the first place? Pre-war Konoha looked more like a small town. And I assume that during the war all the countries lost many people. Sure, they could've made lots of kids, but that would mean a few more kindergartens and schools, not skyscrapers. So, that city is either a ghost city, or it was made to house Naruto's clones or the people of the other countries who decided to move to Konoha.

this!!!
but imo it's not globalization but real collaboration, they didn't lost their own identity but they shared everything based on the best mindset and ideals possible because they learned from the past and evolved!!!
that's why all these babies are interesting, many couples are not from the same village/origins/background but the result of their bonds is this gorgeous next GEN => very positive message from Kishi again *_*
