Okay,so ive been looking to the part where luffy fhough hordy jones at the water that part where hordy's chasing shirahoshi (the maermaid princess) Somehow Luffy managed to punch hordy with gun gun pistol in the middle of the water and he said that it weakens him... right?
So what if shanks haki is so bad ass that even water cant effect him when his using it, and he got this unique df that somehow can managed to sht on water. Anyways what do u guys think?

No cos if he got that kind of df theres no way he could lose his hand. Anyway for example, luffy. Can strech his hand to fly higher or fly faster something like that. (Gumgum + air) and i bilieve he got a paramecia type since that fits him.

the major weakness of a devil fruit user is that they loose the ability to swim ,right? It wouldn't be called a devil fruit if water can't affect it....probably a "god fruit" ...that aside,I don't think it exist

shanks doesn't have a devil fruit even if he did he would still be weakened by sea water and be unable to swim. it takes a little time for df users to lose their strength in the water that's how Luffy was still able to attack hordy.

Black Mamba is right. I really doubt that Shanks has a DF. It would make him a more complete and badass character if Oda abstained from giving him a DF.

No, first of all Haki isn't effected by sea water.
Secondly no way, Shanks has shown no evidence of having a devil fruit. It would ruin his epicness imo.

Shanks was swimming in order to save Luffy and Shanks was always telling Luffy "how are you supposed to be a pirate when you can't even swim, a pirate has to be able to swim". When it comes to DF's its a big NO NO to Shanks.

Maybe Shanks' Haki is so strong that it creates an aura over his lost arm which makes him re grow a Haki arm and when he turns off his Haki he goes back to having 1 arm. Lol idk im just brainstorming here.

It was said that losing his arm didn't affect his strength, so I doubt Shanks give a shit about losing his arm and has a substitute for it. He seemed pretty indifferent to losing it all.

I think EOS Luffy will be to the point where he will never be able to swim..but with his Kings Haki he will be able to make the seas part..like how WB and Shanks made the clouds part
