well....I know it can consume a lot of chakra but it is still a good way to defend and attack at the same time not to mention a good way to plan more counter attacks against madara, obito and the juubi!

i bet all the ninjas who are out there can do a summoning! and this can help to do many thins like moving the injured to a safe place. defending naruto or persons who can die in the moment (like neji). and even attack somehow obito,madara and the juubi! soooo can it be done? can the shinobi alliance be doubeld doing this???

ok last time i check no one in the allie shinobi forces has mokuton so the must be implying Madara does that but incase you didn't notice he has the Juubi so he doesn't need to make clones

we have to believe that at least 60% of them does have summoning! they are all ninjas ready and willing for anything sooo if they cant even summon a piece of shit idk why they are even there in the first place! summonings are basically an ally when you need backup and cant find any! i strongly believe that its a must in the ninja world!

moving the injured, defending the others (if they had defended neji he wouldnt have died) and even to make a plan to stop the juubi, to stall time for shikamarus dads plan to go down! there are so many thing we can do with a summoning its endless!
