A way better SasuSaku drama would been.... (MISSED POTENTIAL)

Okay so one of Sasuke's main goals coming out of the Part 1 gate should be in the long run, to rebuild his clan. This was sort of forgotten and meandered over by the end but it could've made way for an incredibly interesting mini-drama in 'The Last' style.

Sasuke has access to a Senju female. Be-it Karin through a couple minor plot changes or confirm that the Uzumaki are the closest living descendents of the Senju or something. And Sasuke's main drama is picking between what his heart tells him feels right (a life with Sakura despite her insignificance gene-wise to the bigger picture) and Karin (a girl he'd have an easy life with and confirm a Uchiha/Senju child in the future)

It's a final humanity test for Sasuke. Obviously make both viable options, don't villainify Karin when she's actually very accepting and cool in Gaiden- will Sasuke stop thinking about the bigger picture of the Ninja World or will he accept his own place in it and focus on his life and how he treats others? That's ultimately been his struggle ever since his introduction. And it would've made a decent final test and round Sasuke up as a character forever. Marrying the weak insignificant woman because she has a good heart and means a lot to him.

I don't even ship this relationship but with a couple of tweaks, it had great potential for a climax/explanation. It just (like most character arcs involving these 2) was never clear and not shown on screen.

Well that is what actually happened, except the said period was skipped and not shown. You are basically agreeing with the person that said they should get a movie, that could be a plot for it.

I disagree. Karin's identity was never a big thing in the show and I dont think Sasuke even knew/acknowledged it. Even so, Karin isn't that strong and if she had the direct Senju link then the idea would make sense. Currently in it's untouched potential state, it hasn't been used.

It did not happen the exact way you worded it (Sakura is actually the stronger one by far) but Karin is still an Uzumaki and has the special genes comparing to Sakura's 'insignificant' ones. He went on a journey in which he met Taka including Karin (According to Sasuke Shiden) but still came back and married Sakura.

But it's only their personalities put up for question- if that. Sasuke has never addressed their genes or clans or significance in the grander scheme of the NV. I get that it almost does this, which is why it's frustrating that they didn't go the way and make a melodrama out of it.

The thing is, we can't actually prove whether Indra married a normal girl, or someone special. Like Asura, they hail from the Otsutsuki Clan. Before Hamura left to the Moon, they were an abundant amount of them.

Considering Hagoromo didn't leave his clan, nor was exiled from it. How can we say for certain that neither of them married people from their own heritage?
