Remember the main theme of Ninja is all about enduring the pains of losing your friends and family which was stated by Kakashi and Naruto. It turns out Kishimoto contradicts everything a true Ninja supposed to be which instead Kishi made these ninja look too cuddly Happy go lucky .
This war arc has been disappointing/Noose bleed because due to the fact that Kishimoto doesn't have the ballz to
killing off important characters such as Gai who could'v contribute the best death in this war arc but income JESUS Naruto saves him and talking Shit like "Oooo I can do anything"
The wars are supposed to described to be bloody and grim, while this war, which is supposed to be LARGEST war the world has ever fought, has no major deaths and rising the stakes skipped fights and is just used to hype Naruto and give free power ups left and right. This indirectly makes the past wars worse, because the current war doesn't look ugly at all, you can't relate.
This is a HUGE DISRESPECT TO GAI Wish, Rock Lee even gave him an honor and lived up as a true Underdog Ninja to carry on his own will which he was ready for it, look what happened after Neji death, Lee would've been able endure all this pain he had to suffer. BUT NO, Naruto just can't bear to see anyone of his comrades dying even fodders ninja.
Also don't give me some crap with Neji depict the most importance death in this war when in fact he was forgotten character for the entire Shippuden which makes everything a joke because his death was absolute random; NO ONE Saw coming, he just simpily got trolled in one single chapter due to plot for Naruto development which is always has to be him. Kishimoto is screwing with us, he doesn't give a shit about anyone beside Naruto and Sasuke.
Heck Shikamaru would've been worse if he dies like a fodder. Look how bad when Kishi decide to revive Itachi, Minato, Hashirama and 3rd Hokage one of these best death and completely detracts their characters. That's is why I don't want to see Jiraiya to come back because everything would go meaningless and would lose the value of these characters.
I don't mind death so long it handles the most meaningful way.
If I had to choose among all the one who died in this series to be revived, I would rather have the worst death to come back which is Neji rather than the Best death aka Jiraiya, Itachi etc.
