More like people who know powerful jutsu vs people who know only normal jutsu. >.>well yeaaaaa
that should be the title
OVER Experience players
Vs.
Regular experience and not so experience players
i put Mid and Old togetherWe are the new gen, Drizzy and the like are the mid generation, and the rest are the old generation. Thats what I think. I realize this is vague, but you know which gen you belong in.
yeaaaaIt's a nice, interesting idea, and by all means, if you would like to organize it, go for it if possible. I will advise you that such a large scale tournament in conjunction with currently ongoing events on NB today will likely not be successful, however, and it is best if you at least think of postponing this endeavor.
On the issue of balance of between between the sides, I'd have to agree with the guy who said this first...
^ It's more or less and inevitable truth. The gap in power between the newer generation and the older generation is rather massive. I'm not trying to discourage you from following through, but I wouldn't expect a successful outcome, in terms of winning and losing, if I were you. Don't get your hopes up. Rather, if you decide to follow through with this, try to garner a positive prospect (learning, ect.) from it.
*looks at join date*
I'm sorry. Are you implying that you are part of the old generation? :|
Well as you can see I am not. Just a bad choice of words :|It's a nice, interesting idea, and by all means, if you would like to organize it, go for it if possible. lolJohinto, Drizzy, Yard, and The Norwegian(including myself) are apart of the new generation.
We are just noobs who learn fast in a statement U_U.
your newer generation in my eyes. U_Uguess that makes me mid-generation
Guess im form the old Gen :ghehe: (although i dont RP for a while now)
be str8 honest. when i say training i meanIF training is really an excuse here to separate the new generation from the old is lame. I've been here for 8 months, and yet I still haven't mastered the basic 5 [Earth and Water since they're my least favorite elements] and yet I still issue pwns ~_~. You really don't need jutsu to win a battle, it's really just how to string them together and cat your opponent off guard. All you really need is experience.
lolInstead of a tournament, why not just a normal battle between people or small little battle system? For instance, u could create a social group and everyone who is taking part would join and then u set up the battles there. Once thats done, the people make their threads and get to pwning eachother. Theres no special prize but u would get to see how ur gen holds against ours.
What is the difference. We all are in the 2011 gen U_U.lol
AKA OP
btw you would be considered younger GEN.
U_U
your newer generation in my eyes. U_U
but then agen i havent seen you enough
lol
actually you are older gen
you old head xd
i dont mean 2011 genWhat is the difference. We all are in the 2011 gen U_U.
Im not OP xd All u heard was hype I got from being in the same league as Drizzy, The Norwegian and Xanthe lollol
i heard you was pretty OP
xd
part of young lion eh
but yea. that makes sense. believe it or not. alot of older generations think their to good for the youngers so they tend to get cocky
lolIm not OP xd All u heard was hype I got from being in the same league as Drizzy, The Norwegian and Xanthe lol

I'm sorry. My perception of old and new may be different from yours, since in perspective of members who joined in 2011 or so, someone who joined in 2010 would seem to have been here a rather long time. xdJohinto, Drizzy, Yard, and The Norwegian(including myself) are apart of the new generation.

"A point to be proven" you say? And what would that point be? That some younger generation members can take older generation members because older generation members are all OP due to their customs. Don't fall into the illusion that Customs and abilities define the older generation. Such is only part of the equation. I say this because numerous times, the "LOLSeniormembersareonlygoodbecauseoftheirOPcustomsandstuffz" argument has come up, usually as the hidden notion to prove behind such organized events like this, and time and time again the argument has been shut down. Yet, people still tend to cling to it. It isn't to say that without customs, the newer generation still has no chance against anyone of the old generation, but I do not want a general misconception of why us members of the old generation are so revered. The reputation is a testament to our skill, not simply a plethora of devastating techniques.i put Mid and Old together
yeaaaa
i know alot of them would beat us. but there are alot of younger gens who mastered all elements it would be no customs allowed. and it would be more rather FUN FOR ME to see if any of the younger gens can take on the older gens
and i wasnt thinkn about doing it now. im 2 lazy to oraganize it now. maybe late december. or early january
i just want a point to be proven.
Ranks mean nothing. I can beat a Sannin, Kage, or Sage and im only S-Class Ninja. What good is rank if you have no strategy.i dont mean 2011 gen
or lets just go by ranks. O_O
Jounin-S-Class-Sannin
Vs. Kages-Sage-(Insert here)
I literally could not have said it better.I'm sorry. My perception of old and new may be different from yours, since in perspective of members who joined in 2011 or so, someone who joined in 2010 would seem to have been here a rather long time. xd

It seems to be that the newer generation continually concerns itself with the issue of how it "stacks up" against the older generation, and so long as that sole mindset remains the new generation's purpose, it is not likely that the new generation will ever surpass the old. In the years past, especially during this site's first two years, a constant desire to measure the newer generation's (of that time) capacity in comparison to the older generation did not exist as it does now. Instead, each member had their personal drive to excellence, and because of this predominance of individuality, the generation unified and the somewhat newer generation somewhat "silently" surpassed the old in a sense, or for the most part, they managed to be on par with the oldest generation of that time (I am referring to people like Madara, Bisha, Zanji, and Hells). While the time period between the two was not very large (only about 6 months before the rise of the "2nd Generation" of NarutoBase), the process was clear, more so now than it was then. There is a great lack of drive for individuality now. All it seems to be is people bothering themselves with never being able to surpass the old generation and not having the opportunities we had and blah blah blah. A great sensei alone does not make you special. Your motivation, your experiences, your skill, and your mindset do.
