A thought on the "chosen child"

I was just thinking when Jiraya was young and training with toads he was told by the old toad about a prophercy of Jiraya teaching the chosen child that will either bring peace or war to the world. And you know the rest, but how come Jiraya never thought of minato being the chosen child? i cant remember whether he was jiraya's student before or after nagato yahiko and konan but wouldnt minato be worthy of the title as the chosen child?

He may have thought of that, but Minato had died so he set his hopes on Naruto, I guess...

It would be bad if the chosen child was dead already.....

The chosen one will either bring peace or war to the ninja world. Minato brought neither so he wasn't the chosen one.

jiraya taught minato after nagato and since nagato had the rinnegan jiraya already thought he was the chosen child also the gread toad said jiraya would have to make a choice which was to place his bets on naruto if he didnt do that naruto would have never gotten training to be a sage
