Apologies for the delay with the release date and for the size of the chapter, I failed to make up more events and I could simply not consider not ending it where I did.

Chapter 1 - Humility
Narrator: A boy was running through the forest. His shoulder-length purple hair was flowing behind him due to his speed.
? (in thought): I must end these wa-
Narrator: A kunai flew past him and the note attached to it exploded behind him, knocking him off his feet. A ring flew out of his hand and fell in the feet of a man. As he picked it up Bades was back on his feet and was gazing at the three people who had attacked him – two men and a woman who barely seemed at the end of their teens.
Bades: Are you Kakori‘s children?
Narrator: Suddenly the man who picked the ring up unsheathed his sword and charged at Bades. The youngster jumped up on a tree branch a few metres in the air.
??: Just as I thought, he‘s probably the one who killed father.
Bades (in thought): Wait, what just happened?
??: He is a ninja just like us.
Bades: I did not do that, your father killed my parents in our house!
??: So that would give you a motive, too, wouldn‘t it? Ever since our father‘s liferock jutsu broke we have been wondering who did him in... but a boy? You must be quite tricky, eh? Allright, Tazuki, let‘s avenge father.
Narrator: The woman lifted her sword in front of them. She was fifteen years old yet the power that was hidden behind her young face seemed to be about as much as both of her brothers had each.
???: Wait Kamuro, let us hear the boy out, I do not believe he could have ended father‘s life. Especially since dad had his squad with him. No one person should be able to defeat them and walk away so soon. It was barely two hours ago that his Rock of life jutsu ended.
Jutsu description: Rock of life jutsu – an earth element user creates a rock and then imbues it with his normal chakra. Since both chakras are his own, but one is elemental, their mixture gives the rock extraordinary hardness until all other sources of chakra of the user of the jutsu disappear.
Kamuro: Shut it, Mikoto, if you don‘t want to help us stay out of our way. Charge, Tazuki.
Tazuki: Roger.
Narrator: While Tazuki ran up the tree toward Bades who jumped to another branch a kunai flew out of Kamuro‘s hand straight for the boy‘s head. Much to both his attackers‘ surprise, however, Bades deflected the kunai without even touching it. His hair was now covering his face yet he still dodged Tazuki‘s katana and change branches again.
Kamuro: What, you think you don‘t even need to see me well to fight me?
Mikoto: Damn it, Kamuro stop and hear him out, he hasn‘t even attacked you yet.
Tazuki: And we‘re not going to let him to. Brother, now! Katon: Scorching flames.
Kamuro: Fuuton: Hurricane gales.
Narrator: As the two men yelled one launched a tree-sized mass of flames from his mouth and the other a multitude of air currents. The two jutsu collided at an acute angle, mixing up with each other. The flames had now almost doubled in size and had travelled half the distance to the boy.
Bades: Suiton: Birth of a river.
Narrator: As the youngster shouted a massive tide of water erupted from the ground between him and the fireball. In a second the hostile jutsu was completely gone. He then ran through the water which was still pouring out from the ground to the treetops like a geyser and focused chakra in the palms of his hands. Both brothers fell on the ground at the touch of the boy who drained almost all of their chakra, leaving them enough to live. Mikoto stood unable to move from the shocking sight she had just beheld. Her brothers‘ strongest collaboration jutsu stopped by a young boy barely looking thirteen.
Mikoto: I do not have a grudge against you, but should you kill them then I am going to have to fight you.
Narrator: Bades looked at her then pushed his hair to the sides of his face to uncover his eyes.
Bades: Don‘t fight it, I will show you what happened.
Mikoto: Allright.
Narrator: Suddenly she was in some tight room with three other people.
Mikoto (in thought): Good, I can escape this genjutsu if I need to. Though let me first see what this boy wants to show me.
Narrator: Steps could be heard outside the door. A familiar voice called out her father‘s name from what seemed to be the upper floor. Then Bades‘ greatest tragedy unfolded before her eyes. When she saw the boy get out of the tunnel and spotted the three bodies left around the ruined house the illusion ended.
Mikoto: I am sorry.
Narrator: The boy now dropped to the ground, panting from exhaustion.
Mikoto: Are you allright? You shouldn‘t strain yourself too much, you know.
Bades: I‘ll be fine if I rest up a bit. Sorry about your brothers I believe they should wake up in a few hours.
Mikoto: They‘ll be fine, it‘s you I‘m more worried about. If father gave his life to let you escape then I would see to it that you get to a relatively safe town. However, after seeing how strong you are I might take you to my home town if you don‘t mind.
Bades: I have nowhere to go. But what about your brothers, will we not take them with us?
Mikoto: You‘re still so young... Besides, I know them too well – they won‘t listen to you about how father died. They‘ll be fine if we drag them to that hollow tree over there.
Narrator: She pointed to a massive tree a few hundred feet away. They dragged the two brothers there and after that headed north-east to the nearest town.
Bades: Pleased to meet you, by the way. I‘m Bades.
Mikoto: So am I. My name is Mikoto. I‘m from the Deer clan.
Narrator: A shadow was following the two just out of line of sight.
????: What do we have here, could it be that one of the enemies in the house escaped? I guess I was right to suspect something back then.
